Don't worry, it's still there!
I just went through and marked almost all of them under "Mature."
It's a decision I've been thinking about for a looooong while, and kept going back and forth on. I initially didn't do so because other vore artists I was following marked theirs as General, and I thought that was just the norm for FA. (the same thing going for other things i consider "SFW fetishes" like inflation/macro/micro/etc;; the consensus seemed like "if there's no nudity or Sexual™ Things™ Going™ On™ then it's General") The reason that I mostly held onto to justify my own ratings was my own complicated relationship with NSFW content in general. To me, my stuff isn't explicit, or sexual. It's for adults, clearly, but it's not NSFW. There's no nudity, there's no (what I would consider to be) sexual arousal or (what I would consider to be) sexual acts. Combine that with my extreme sex/NSFW repulsion, and not wanting my own art to be in the same category as nudity or (what I would consider to be) Actual Sexual Content™....it didn't help my thought process much.
I kept trying to find a more concrete ruling for the acceptable upload policy, but the wording isn't really helpful for determining what my work would fall under. (and again, is very hard for me to make sense of since, to me, my stuff isn't 'excessive' or explicit!) The phrase "for the purposes of eliciting arousal" kept being used for mature/adult work when people discussed the rules, but again, that's not how I see my work! (Though I understand, for others, they would disagree)
The thing that finally let me convince myself to do this was...I started finding a few people who were watching me who were underage. I'm not comfortable with that, at all. My stuff (on this account, at least) is for adults, and adults only. I do not want anyone underage looking at my stuff.
And it, uh, kind of hit me...."hey!!!!!! dummy!!!!!! if you dont want kids to look at your stuff you shouldn't let that be a thing they can do!!!!!"
So that was, uh, kind of the final nail in the coffin for me. Even though I wish FA was an 18+ site, that doesn't make it so, and is not a good justification for marking my stuff as General.
My stuff will for now on be marked as Mature! Sorry for the inconvenience, fellow people who only like to use SFW even though they are an adult themselves x_x;;;; But this'll be a huge weight off my shoulders.
