Art may be slow, here's why.

So the end of last month I was at my dishwashing job and I spotted something odd under my work station. Since in my mind it's out of place and doesn't belong I reach down to remove it... WELL, it snapped down on my thumb because it was a rat trap:

Now when it happened it was just "Ow, that kind of hurt."
Well a few days later a section of my wrist and upper arm started to have a burning/stinging sensation. At first I thought maybe I just slept on my arm wrong as I tend to sleep on my right side. Well after a few days I wondered, "does this have to do with that rat trap?..."
Looking up some things I assume this is nerve damage. Well it seems to be what it may be. =U
Just last week I was playing a PS2 game that was a bit button mashy and the next day my hand started killing me, likely connected to the possible nerve damage.
Anyway, I work Saturday and Sunday, and those two days made my hand seriously hurt.
"Why not take off of work?" Stupid strong work ethics.
"Why not go to the doctor." I am considering it.
Just know in the mean time if I use my right hand too much, specifically my thumb, the pain starts to get intense. So things like inking images and using the mouse my hand starts hurting badly. And I am sure drawing with a pencil would hurt too. =P

That sort of thing being there, you should be told about that for your own safety, or should have at least been trained.
But if it's been a whole three weeks since you got snapped by a rat trap I'm doubtful that it caused that sort of lasting damage. It might be unrelated?
I dunno, but I hope you recover from it.
The big trigger here may have been the gaming which becomes entirely my fault, it was a game with a LOT of button mashing from my right thumb.
Granted if I still go to work and am using my arm/hand it may not have time to recover. A cursory glance online about nerve damage says things like this can take days-weeks to heal.
Ah, yeah that sort of harsh repetition might've been the trigger. Although with Animal Crossing soon maybe you can play something more relaxed.
Yeah, nerve damage is something that will take time to heal, maybe a pharmacist can sell a simple splint or something.
Yeah, not a lot of button mashing there. =P
Well like I said I am considering going to the doctor as my hand isn't feeling great. =P
A rat trap is something that would've been put there deliberately, but if you weren't informed, that could be negligence of workplace safety.
Yeah, a much more relaxed game. :P
How much is that going to cost, though? Just to get your hand checked. :\
In the UK that sort of consultation wouldn't cost anything, and treatment is also affordable.
Indeed.
Well it's not like I am going in to get an x-ray. It's not like I am going to a hospital. Most of the doctor's visits here are in the $100 range. And for peace of mind for certain things that can be worth it.
Though it still seems like a safety thing you should be informed or cautioned about.
Alright, well I hope you find out what you need.
Admittedly I've been having some stiffness in my ring finger on my left hand myself, it flares up during the day at work sometimes, but I often forget about it home.
