Yikes, it’s 2020.

Hey FA it’s been a while since I’ve used this thing to talk to anyone. That raccoon is probably pretty old by now.
I’m trying to be back a little more than before, but I’m honestly not sure what to talk about in the journals nowadays. Life demands are shifting a little bit, so not sure how free I’ll be to make anything for the journals. However, I have been drawing in the free spaces I’ve had, and while it’s not a flood, I do have a bit of a backlog I’m polishing up to start posting soon. I let myself get drawn into a bunch of larger projects and ideas that took way, way more time than I estimated, but most of them are getting near the end point.
I always say I’m gonna put more in scraps, but I’ve only followed through a couple of times on that. I am trying to be better on saying what I am and am not going to take towards a more detailed conclusion, and just throw up what I’ve done and move onto the next thing. A bunch of art journals I poke at keep saying to just keep drawing and don’t get tied down with everything. Something about 90% of the time being spent on 10% of the work. :P If I can’t do that, what I am trying to do at the very least is to shake my kinda rigid process a little looser. I’ve found a few brush settings I like using as an alternate to my regular inking techniques. They’re a little faster, and let me be a little sloppier, which sometimes is an effect I’m satisfied with. Not sure if I want to organize them into my main gallery, or my scraps. Probably a little less focused stuff in the scraps. Probably be a fair bit of those conjoined pony taur critters I made up. They’re kinda easy for me to doodle and get the juices flowing with, so I’ve got a bunch of layers filled up with them.
I just realized the other day that it’s been ages since I’ve even looked at the animation toolbar, so, not quite sure when I’m gonna touch that again.
So, overall, I’m hoping this’ll be a more productive spring.

Hope you're doing well.
Buck Rogers froze on his mission, but we got that worked out so it was safe to launch the Jupiter II once the Eugenics Wars ended. We just have to steer it clear of those Monoliths.
But, I've still got two years left before I've gotta start eating my ration of Soylent Green.
Many of these are the tail end/result of those larger projects. So I am kinda finally cleaning the slate and posting things that were steadily accumulating on the drive at various levels of completeness because I'm now getting them all done.
Once this flood of stuff is over we'll see what I can do to keep some momentum.
