I think availability and prices vary videly, depending on where you're located :3
I got mine fro a breeder here in Denmark (after searching for millipedes on insect forums and such) for roughly 30$ for 5 (including postage). They can occasionally be seen in pet stores as well :)

I keep mine in a small plastic tank with some 'dirt' and food in it. :3

oh heheheee. i livein florida, and theyre everywhere here. so ive experienced them. idk if they are milipedes exactly, but they look just like them. and theyve got yellow on them. theyre so cuteeee. one of the few insects ill actually play with. i want a silly butterfly aviary, the kind that you buy at like wal mart and then mail order the caterpillars.

I'd love to keep butterflies too, but I think they might be hard to keep alive but idunno..

It's just a large plastic container with a lid on it, so it was kinda cheap :p

im not sure about the logistics of keeping wither of those insects, im just sure that i want to XD

i also want sea monkeys, sparrows, sugar gliders, and most of all and most importantly/necessary, a cat.

I got them from a breeder, who didn't know what kind they were, but since the parents were all black, I'm guessing either Giant African or Malay Black, but I'm no expert though..
