First question and that’s kind of a good one. Makes me think a little bit. The question is very similar to: ‘If you could what would you transform into?’ To which my response is usually: ‘Aaaah, to many choices!’ Which is why I’m a shapeshifter instead of having a more set fursona. :P

So this is kind of the same as I would love to try out a lot of positions, and on a variety of friends. Or even a few surprise mergings on a few I have a character crush on. :P As my serpentine friend predicts, a lot of them would be as a tail. It’s such an easy thing to merge with, has a bit of autonomy but still functions and is connected, and the view isn’t bad. Just gotta brace myself if my host likes to swish or wag a lot. It’s an easy first merging to try out with someone.

But I think the nature of you question more like: If you had this one time to experience it who and what would you chose? And the serpent is right. Amethystine is my oldest and closets friend with this similar interest, so I would choose him if I only had the one time. But, being a tail would be more like a traditional conjoinment instead of being a ‘body part’ which is also part of your question. We would functionally be like a two headed snake, with maybe him having a little more control over where I go. So, to fit the true spirit of the question, I would fuse into his right arm. Maybe keeping both of my hands to help out with whatever he’s up to.

What makes you like merging transformations? X3

What makes me like it? Hmmmm, another hard one.

It’s kind of a little bit of spice added to a regular transformation. Since I fool around with shapeshifting so much ‘regular’ transformations seem pretty normal. I find mergings fun because they’re either a group activity, or a union of sorts in the mind. I’ve a bit of an objectification interest they allow you to be used or controlled by someone else, but often if you’re fused with them in the same body you’re interests coincide, or soon will, so it’s easier to release that kind of control to someone else. Also, like many out here, a lot of my other interests and kinks tend to mesh together. I love transforming and shapeshifting, and I like swallowing, being inside, and even digestion. Merging TFs kinda have aspects of both, so it’s an easy fit. The bodies are changed into something new or different, with a whole new perspective or existence, along with a certain amount of consumption or assimilation mixed in.

Yeah, every once in a while. You know, while fantasizing or pondering this stuff. It doesn't usually make it into my doodles because other stuff usually crams it out of the way. The few times it has, other than that, is with a bird. Because those feathery bird butts are just a little easier to work around. Plus....eggs. >..> <..< >..>

If it was on something other than a bird, I think it was usually a taur butt.

Dragons: better to absorb or to be absorbed by?

Hmmmm, dragons are soooo wonderful for a lot of things.

Hard to say, because a lot of times I've absorbed someone, I've been one. But for me to absorb or be absorbed by? I would have to say, looking through my history, I've tended to use dragons as raw materials for other bodies way more often than becoming part of one.

I was trying to answer within the context of the question. Which I'm assuming was referring to my preference specifically with respect to other dragons.

That's fair! I've always liked the interpretation of dragons' magical power making them both able to dominate and transform other beings, but also making them useful to those able to mold them into useful forms, or use them as 'raw materials' as you say, heh.

If you had to put a limit on the number of people that could merge together into one physical body (say, to avoid overloading the nervous system with too many signals or something like that), what would that limit be and why would you go with that limit?

Wow, a limit? I'm not sure.

Artistically, if you're going to have attributes visible from everyone it starts to get a little hard to get them all in around 10. M.O.T. made this amazing amalgamation here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/985813/ and I think it's got about 15 distinct beings in it around this time, and there isn't that much more room left.

If they're fusing into one mind, I wouldn't think there is a limit. But the amount of influence the individual mind would have on the gestalt would be reduced, so adding more wouldn't make as much more of an effect, or as big a shift in the group personality.

If you've got full on consciousness kinda distributed about regions of a body. I think it would be healthy if they all had something to do or be able to interact. So unless they're content just to communicate through some kind of mental planescape I would say one per limb, and/or distinct feature would be where I would limit it. Not so much fun being a right inner thigh muscle where all you can do is twitch.

Oh my. How did I miss that particular image? I like to explore the idea of tossing as many people as possible into one body. I could it becoming a strain on a single mind if it had to process more and more signals as the body grew in size due to the number of parts necessary to give everyone their own corner, and the best solution there would be to eliminate the individual thoughts of each part and bring them into a whole. I always forget the word "gestalt" exists, very nice word.

I agree with the idea of giving each part something to do. The head does the eating, most/all of the seeing and hearing, things like that, the feet have to position toes and absorb the shock, etc. Like you said, there's no fun in being an inner thigh muscle and just twitching. Personally, I think I'd limit it to the number of people necessary to create a multi-limbed creature with a person in each limb, head, tail, torso section, genitals, etc, but this creature has to be able to comfortably fit in an average living room. Probably no more than three lower taur sections and corresponding legs. I tried to count it out in my head, but this headache is making it difficult to think right now. I'm going to say 40ish. An image of one of the final scene's in Amethystine's "Fitting In" story just came to mind, specifically the the state of everyone when Rhylith and Tori walk into the club/bar/place (trying to be vague in case spoilers. I'd hate to ruin such an amazing story).

Yeah, head, tail, torso, etc was all what I was meaning by 'features'. Some kind of being with a whole mess of anaconda thick tentacles running down it's spine, and each tipped with a head of some sort has a little more room than the standard bipedal setup. If they have to fit into an average living room, you'll really be topped there.
