TFF2020 was awesome!

Hi folks. I am back from Texas Furry Fiesta. Also extremely tired. I was at Blue Canary Gallery for the event, which had a selection of art (prints and custom), stickers, pins, humorous tags, and bandanas.
My overall review is that it was great! Friendly staff, great neighbors (FiGMENTS and SpazzyCat Studios), and awesome attendees! Trisket had an embroidery setup at SpazzyCat and gave the go ahead to let folks come by and order embroidery work done on any of my bandanas. I'm always happy to signal boost.
Something very cool was Dealer staff stopped by each table and asked if anyone needed change. I've NEVER seen any event I've vended at do that. I'm generally okay with preparing change, but at previous events I've known folks who could have really used the assist.
Check in was quick and easy. Load in time on Thursday was 6P-10P and 8A-11A on Friday. I started at 7:30P on Thursday evening and in total I spent about 4.5 hrs setting up. Tear down was a bit faster at around 2.5 hours. I have to kneel or sit as I have a damaged foot and it makes doing anything with a lot of upright movement difficult, making setup and tear down more time consuming.
When the doors opened on Friday I watched a lot of attendees zoom by. Most did their rounds. I was located towards the front right of the room, but placement didn't seem to be a major factor. The open space to my left (stage right) did make for better accessibility for set up, tear down, and assisting attendees coming by the table. A lot of folks pointed out the cute bird plush props, art, and bandanas they liked, which seemed to get the most attention.
Friends checked on me each day to see if I needed anything. I came to the event solo, but usually my boyfriend is with me. I ended up Friday and Saturday grabbing two croissant sandwiches and slowly eating them to help tied me over. To be silly Figment suggested drawing on a wrapper to hide my face while eating. Challenge accepted! It looked hilarious (cartoon drawing of Dodge, my sabertoothed-cat character). I felt bad when Blaez came by on Friday to see if I wanted anything from one of the food trucks as a number of folks stopped by the table.
For the most part there were minor gaps with attendees visiting the table, and multitasking was necessary as I didn't want to ignore anyone. For the first time ever, on Saturday I had a line. I'm still blown away and feeling the love!
I made sure to thank everyone as I am incredibly appreciated of everyone who came by! I was a smol ball of stress until Friday evening. Folks would periodically pop by to thank me for the bandanas they enjoyed wearing.
I noted 14 bandana order requests (I ran out of time to take photos of prints) and a few graphic requests. I had to unfortunately cut back on art commission requests, with project requests needing to be done in the evening. On Friday evening I stopped to have dinner with friends and a panel with three requests (1 sketch and 2 art badges) and was up until 4A. On Saturday I opted to skip a concert, had a quick dinner alone with two requests (sketch and badge) and was up until 1:30A.
One item I had available were stickers featuring Dogbomb and $58 raised to donate to the ALS Orange County chapter in California. Any time someone offered an extra amount to keep as a tip I added it to the donations. I'll be at Blue Ridge Furfare and Furry Weekend Atlanta, with the donation total being sent in after then.
I stayed Thursday and Sunday with AnimeCat, Zeb, and Blaez, and then Friday and Saturday with Nature Nerd (Ash) and Hiro Friday and Saturday at the event's main hotel. Dorian, Barky Foxtrot, Kael Corgi, Eddie Bear, Kipper, Lauren, Shrag, Monoyasha, Cy, Entropy, Donryu, Sheba, Glacier, and a number of others found me. Feel free to give a shout if you stopped by!
Overall I would be happy to return! Thank you everyone for making the trip and event memorable!

2016 was the last year I was at MP. Not sure when I'll have a chance to pop down again. July/August tends to be a busy. If you're going this year I hope you'll have fun!
