On the Eve of UMK 2020

Well that time of the year is almost here and that is finding out what kind of song Finland will be represent the country in Eurovision, aka Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu / UMK.
After couple of years break with actual competition of artist as we did differently the national selection: Broadcaster picked the artist and viewers + international juries selected between 3 songs the winning song.
This year we got back with open contest and selected 6 artists with help of one of broadcasting company´s radio station YleX.. So this year there´s been some attempts to pick a song which can also be radioplay friendly (that kind of vibe I personally got with this, but it´s just me x3)
Anyways, between 24th-31st of January, UMK released one of the 6 songs the audience will be vote for Finland´s song in Rotterdam 2020.

Well overall I have to say that based on "radio play version" of these songs (specially the lyric video versions), it´s bit hard to say which one I´m gonna root for the victory.
So it will go down to National Final show (tomorrow 7th of March) and how the live show of each song will go.
From general hype I have seen is around Erika Vikman´s "Cicciolina" song, which is the only song in Finnish of the contest.
As much I have graved mindset with "Why we keep pushing Finnish songs in Eurovision, we have done that several times, but not get into Grand Final", I still recognize the overall hype surrounded the song and it´s catchy song.
And in the end, I do respect the final decision which of these songs will be in Rotterdam this year.
So maybe the best song and best show win this Saturday!

I'm still somewhat disappointed that Nightwish came third in the Finnish national final in 2000. They were /so/ much better than the song that won.
I started more frequently follow Eurovision since 2006 (last year´s contest I had to skip as I was at BLFC at same time as last year´s contest was held) ^//^
Now that I heard Nightwish´s ESC song from 2000, I would rather seen them in actual contest than the actual song that won that year.
