so i know i haven't posted here a lot lately, and that's really just because i've been trying to catch up on stuff while working my new job, but i'm sharing a journal my partner posted since i have a bit more reach on my page.

So I couldn't think of anywhere else to post this. I dont have many social media sites I post on, nor many I can post this much information to.
Super fast TL;DR version: Cat has a swollen, painful lump in his mouth thats not affecting his eating yet but if I dont get it treated he-will- lose his appetite. I have to take him to the vet, this will likely be around 1000 or more in financial burden, we need help.

Longer version:
Ryu is a 13 year old, almost 14 year old Tabby. He's been with my partner Darkomi/Vernon_Cross for a long time. Since highschool I believe. With age comes troubles. He has a few things that need looked at but that aren't pressing.
However yesterday I noticed wha looked to be an old scab or a bit of blood on his lower jaw. Not enough to be alarming but enough to make me curious. So I cleaned it off and decided to look at his mouth. On his bottom lip just behind his top canine is a sensitive, swollen lump. It concerned me so I asked a vet tech friend today to take a quick look at it to determine whether or not I needed it to get looked at ASAP. He's not displaying lethargy or a lack of appetite, but mouth things are always risky things no matter the species.
Vettech friend told me yes, get it looked at ASAP. It will get worse, it will affect his appetite, and since he's older that could become a big problem.
Well we already know there's a dental issue that needs squared away, and that was quoted at 1500.
Now. I JUST got a well paying job. BUT we also JUST bought a car that I still have a couple payments to make on (bought from a coworker) and registration, on top of bills. So while yeah I have money, its kind of ALL been accounted for for this month....And the next...2
I do have a CareCredit account, thats been at 500 dollars but I dont have a good enough history to get that limit boosted so...this will only take care of a chunk of what I know is going to need to be done at the vet.
So I'm asking for help. Cause while I'm not well liked, and I'm not well known, my partners cat doesn't deserve to suffer that. He needs attention now.

But Ryu needs to get this squared away before it becomes a much bigger problem. so. Yeah. Help? My current goal is just an additional 500 to what I have in my credit. I'll be posting a more detailed account of what costs are going to be after I see the vet.
