"Beastars" is a Japanese anime adapted from the manga of the same name, written and drawn by Paru Itagaki. The English-dubbed first season will be available on Netflix streaming service in the USA on Friday 13 March 2020. This feels like a grittier version of some of the same tropes as found in "Zootopia". The story has a modern/near future Japan social setting. I recommend it for at least a sampling. It will not be to everyone's taste, as it does deal with the social threat of predation, in a civil society of mixed herbivores, omnivores, and predators.
