So yesterday I was in a convenience store, working on their drop safe, minding my own business . . . I have to cut a zip tie so I can remove the wires to one of the internal sensors, and I take off my bifocals so I can see better. So I cut the through the zip tie lock . . . and zingo! I actually see the cut piece fly to me and pop me directly into my right eye!
And it hurt, oh it hurt.
I was able to finish, but not until I emailed my district manager, who emailed me the form to fill out. HR told me it was all paid time when I went to a MedExpress building and had it looked at.
Thank God it was only a minor cornea scratch. The doctor told me I must be some tough guy
Friday workday had come and gone. I have an appointment to see an eye specialist but am still waiting on the okay from Workman's Comp to get the prescriptions filled. I reckon by the time they get around to it I won't need them.

One detail I left out and just added is that I wear glasses, but took them off so I could see better. If I hadn't, well ...
Keep yer head down, and good luck.
