what the hell is this, a rant or something?

This has kinna been sticking in the back of my head over the week, but... ZOMG ART IS TOO HARD MY GIVE UP.
XD XD XD
Seriously, though, what the fuck? i understand that artists come and go faster than the turnover rate at a call center, but it seems nowdays that people are starting to give up a little too easily. Sure, several discouraging comments may fly your way, however, are you going to let words defeat you?
Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one.
TO THE BEGINNING ARTIST: You all have a reason to touch a pencil to paper, a stylus to tablet, a brush to canvas, a note to an ear drum and so forth. It may be a different reason to each individual, but the drive is there. In a fast-paced world where technology is making everything cold and sterile, the very same technology is giving all of us even more options to make your creative mark on society. Breathe a little variety and warmth into this monotonous world. NEVER, and i do mean NEVER let anyone stifle your creativity. You'll do a gross disservice to the rest of those who crave what you have to offer. There's going to be people who really dig what you produce, there's going to be people who think quite the opposite. If you seek to improve upon your art, learn how to take criticism, both the good and the bad. How are you going to figure what to do next time if you don't take into consideration what someone else sees? As the old addage goes, "You can't please everyone." Though, you can sure as hell try... and do your best while you're at it, too.
TO THE EXPERIENCED ARTIST: Never forget where your roots lie. Every single person who contributes their art to the world had to have a start somewhere. Whether you had the talent from the very beginning (ya bastids ;3) or rose up from the stick-figure wading pool, you've definitely seen your styles grow, change and evolve over time. Did you simply say "FUCK IT ALL I'M NEVER DOING THIS SHIT AGAIN" when someone gave you a discouraging comment? Hell no! You kept on doing what you love, strove to improve, and perhaps shoved it in the faces of those who said "your art sucks" when they came back to say "omg i'm your fanboy/fangirl now." X3 The beginning artist looks up to you, and a little bit of encouragement every so often does a whole load of wonders. Let's face it: you guys like a little encouragement every now and then too. ;]
Understand that you won't become the next superstar artist sensation overnight. It takes an assload of time to develop these skills. For some, it may only be a matter of months. For others, it could very well mean years upon years. Though one thing is for certain: everyone is always finding a way to improve (and stagnation can be a real bitch). So keep on doing what you do. Art blocks and the lack of motivation will constantly be on your tail, but it's all a part of being an artist. Hell, even a most well-known Renaissance artist like Michaelangelo (the dude who painted the Sistine Chapel) had to draw one elbow, oh i'd say 36 times before he got it to a point where he thought it to be decent. And that was just a preliminary sketch! i've always found that to be really inspiring for some reason.
As for me? i'm by no means an artist, just some dude who thinks he can draw. X3

I have much respect to the beginners, the major number of they learn things very fast and take a great advance than the others that only conforms with a fanart(I have buddies on FA, they was beginners but his learn skills are impresionant).
A lot of beginners think it's like super easy to be real good the next day or be the 'hot shot'. Then when they find someone a lot better then them....they get real emo and like "Waaah!! Your better then me!" And I get that a lot now from beginners, but it's like you can get there too. Hell I kknow damn well I wasn't born with the talent. Fuck my parents and like a good chunk of my family told me to give up that my art sucks.
D8 But who's fucking laughing now! Beginners need to learn that, it's like taking baby steps, then slowly walking, then growing up you get to do more then walk, you get to ride a bicycle, or learn how to skate board, or learn to blade, etc. Hell there's so much one can do from just barelly learning how to walk. It's the same with Art, with Drawing, it takes a dinky line, to create a master piece, just takes time and patients.
As for experience artist, they gotta learn how to take crits. Hell everyone on FA is not perfect. Even the best artist here have flaws. But I mean also they should encourage younger begginers to do art. That's it's not easy, you get a ot of hit told to ya, but it's all of de matter of not giving up, of reaching ya goals and ya dreams!
and as for joo xD SHUT YO MOUTH! you can draw and do all kinds of things! 8D joo are an artist as everyone else is. Everyone has an artist in them. No matter what they do. Just de ones that are called artist 'bring' it out of them, but we are all normal people with skills.
And it's also a good point that everyone can learn how to take criticism, whether it's good or bad. The snobby 'God of Art' attitude is shit that i cannot STAND at all (and it's usually the kind of people who can't take criticism well). X3
=Rocky
They arent that good but they are better than before :P
=Rocky=
Its when you just ignored i think it just feels like the biggest beat down...
as for me im an aritst in all terms and forms im going to be a damn good one to i got many more years of college to help with that
Well, you're definitely not dreaming how to draw because you already ARE drawing. Like i said before, your skills in clean line-art and inking is really good. Quite fantastic, in fact. This is something i wish to attain.
