Life Update & Commission Delays
Hey all! With all the changes happening around the U.S. right now regarding health alerts, I thought it was important I give an update for my commissioners and those who keep an eye out for new art.
To get the critical info out the way, I'm currently working from home instead of the office. This is going to slow down my commission progress even more than usual because I had to bring my work computer home.
Now to explain the mess that's happening in detail.
I live in a small house in the back yard with my dog. This is because I take care of my mom and grandma, who live in the main house on my property. Mom fought stage 3 colon cancer a while back, so she still has chemo in her system. My grandma is in her 80s (she probably has the best health of us all tbh) and she's still recovering from a biopsy that went wrong and punctured her bladder back in November.
My job has decided to have all employees work from home until early April. The problem is that my house has zero room for another computer, let alone my entire work setup. There's also no room in the main house to set up. So now my PC, that I use for commissions, is set aside for my work computer temporarily. I've moved my current commissions into my iPad but it's still taking some getting used to.
I plan to have an update for folks this weekend, and I will be sending WIPs. I apologize for the delay. I'm currently rushing to clear out the main room so I can paint it, rip out the flooring (that's left), and set up a home office. The reason this work needs to be done is because my small house was built by a family member years ago and needs some fixing before it's livable. This includes torn, missing floor and a busted window.
Sorry again to those waiting on me for stuff. I wasn't expecting this whole virus thing to affect me so quickly.

You guys will be in my thoughts. Stay safe!
I'm alright. My girlfriend and I can both work from home, so the two of us are pretty safe despite being in a heavily infected area. I really feel for people whose jobs aren't so easily moved online, though.
