Aha. Here's how I see it:

It's a fact of today's media and entertainment that they're going to latch on to extreme ideas like sex-driven furries such as Chewfox. I'm not angry at them about that any more. It's purely a business decision.

However, what I get EXTREMELY disgruntled about is someone in the fandom just coming forward to these media outlets and flaunting it about. It's not that 'omg that's wrong that you do that' for me. If you want to fuck in fursuit, who am I to say stop? Even talking about it behind closed doors of fandom-centric sites is fine by me, but it's when you run out in the public and wave it about in everyone's faces that gets me, because you're not only damning yourself at that point, but an ENTIRE SUBCULTURE OF PEOPLE. You are seriously inconveniencing, at the least, probably about 500,000 people just like that. It will damage the social image of every one of them whom people know to be furries. This comes into big play with work, as in your case, as well as families. I'm quite familiar with a number of cases, even just around our area, where families are aware of furry - but only certain parts. The parts that selfish, inconsiderate douchebags like Chewfox decide is a good idea to wave about something pretty far from what the fandom is actually centered on. I wouldn't be surprised if a number of children or even just dependent young adults, thinks to today's economy, are being kicked out of their houses and losing all of their parents' support because she decided to sit on that damn bed and smirk smugly as she talks about such a far tangent of our society as if it's completely normal.

At least she's pretty much alienated herself within the fandom now, and better not show up at any cons, or risk some sort of harm - I wouldn't put it past some people to do shit over this...
