on ncis is so annoying
but let me get to the point
Stop whining. Stop bitching. Put on your big boy panties and grow a pair.
Let me ask you something really quickly. When you watch TV and you see shows about people expressing their interest in things like BDSM, homosexuality, etc, do you bat an eyelash? Is it so foreign to you? Let me ask you general populous, do you really care?
Consider the situation. Some girl is featured on the Tyra Banks show, an episode which is ABOUT SEX. She expresses her interest in sex while wearing a fursuit. Okay, we all know it happens in the fandom. Now before you start crying and throwing your fingers in the air, consider this:
How often, in your daily life, do you go around proclaiming your association with the furry fandom to people you work with, go to school with, etc? If you do, then exclude yourself, you can stop reading. But What I'm saying is that most people do not do that. Most people in the furry fandom tend to keep their furriness to themselves in daily life. Most people know how to separate their interest in our fandom from the rest of their lives. Given that fact, how does chewfox's appearance on Tyra affect you?
Answer: It doesn't.
Nobody is ostracizing you. Nobody is taking away any rights you have. Nobody sees you any differently, providing you keep your fetishes to yourself. Do you know why? Because NOBODY GIVES A SHIT. In the long run, nobody will give even half of a shit. People who are into BDSM don't bring it into their daily lives, and that is a far more widely accepted fetish. If they walked around proclaiming it to the rest of the world, I promise you, they would be snubbed to some extent. However, most of them do not, so they don't have problems.
So unless you have been directly affected by chewfox's apparent travesty upon the fandom, unless your family now shuns you and you've been fired from your job due to your sexual preferances being broadcasted on national television, then you have no reason to bitch. And if any of the above HAS occurred, then you probably should not have been sharing your personal fetishes anyway. That is why they are personal. I'm not condoning what chew did or what she is into, but I am not going to hate her for it. I don't think she deserves to be excommunicated from a website that is supposed to bring people together due to their interests. I know there are people reading this right now who fuck in suit. And I am willing to bet that the very people reading this who like to fuck in suit are the very people cursing chewfox. And for what? Are you gaining anything? Are you making your love for suitsex any more accepted? No. You're just being a hypocritical douchebag.
She said what she wanted to say, and nobody was hurt. Nobody's lives were turned upside-down. Nothing happened.
Let me say that one more time.
NOTHING. HAPPENED.

FA+

Also, booooo, I love Abby. D:
That's usually how it is, too :o It's pretty gross when the people you once shared interests with turn on you because you shared your interests with people who were curios, even if it was for entertainment.
And come on...seriously? It was the tyra fucking banks show XD! What do you expect!? A full blown hour report on EVERY aspect of the fandom from HBO? Gee wizz.
Congrats furs, for alienating one of your own kind :D
Well, except for one part...
"She said what she wanted to say, and nobody was hurt. Nobody's lives were turned upside-down. Nothing happened."
I disagree....Tyra seemed very mortified by it...
Which ended up being the greatest thing I've seen in a long time. She was all "WHAT WHAT? THIS IS PREPOSTEROUS!"
And for that, I thank Chewfox.
Let me put it to you this way: Would you be so nonchalant if she said it about.... Oh, I dunno, Gay Rights or Civil Rights or something that does affect daily life? No. You wouldn't.
Your breaking the one rule of fursecution, don't compare it to gay people, race, religion. It is DEFINITLY not as bad as that.
Most of us are young and obviously are going to have a bad time with it.
But you CANNOT compare it to gay rights.
Thats fk'n rediculous.
I was just trying to say that if it were something of importance to more people, no one would be this laid-back about it.
We are on fire and raging.
One guy cant go to the annual neighborhood party in his suit anymore because of it, meaning his neighbors now think their costume is a sex toy....and they will educate their kids that way when they ask where the big happy tiger is. Other suiters will have to worry about this issue also. Its just stuff like that. People may not get fired from their jobs, but may now face harassment which is REALLY hard to deal with when everyone doesnt like you.
And also I dont want to be represented by one person or her boyfriend.
As far as correlating gays to furries - This is sort of like saying people who are homosexual don't have a conscious choice in whether or not they are attracted to one sex of the other, and furries are the same way. WRONG. Furries do have a choice whether or not they want to be involved in the fandom. And if you're going to go down the Therian route, that's a whole different bag of beans. We aren't talking people who think they are animals, we are talking people who dress up like animals and have sex in animal suits.
I'm fairly sure if you ran into a furry who told you 'I don't CHOOSE to put the suit on, I was born like this' you would laugh in their faces. It's kind of ignorant to compare gay sex to people having sex in a suit.
All I'm saying is that this girl was stupid and immature with what she did today. She knew very well that she was allowing a whole crowd to get the wrong idea about this fandom, and she let it happen anyway. I don't care that she was on the show, but she should have done it with a little more class. It was just handled incorrectly.
I don't see how what chewfox did was stupid or immature. I'm sure she knew that she was going into this with the possibility of getting hated at (yes, hated at.) and she did it anyway. Who cares if she wanted her 15 mins of fame. WHO CARES. WHO CARES WHO CARES WHO CARES. She did not hurt you. You are not suffering and your life has not been derailed, you will not wake up tomorrow with less than you had today. You will not suffer for her explanation of the furry fandom. And if you consider being embarassed by talking about furries and sex to your mom, then I think you are the one who is a little immature. I dunno. I've explained furry sex and what people do at cons to my mom before. She was disgusted. But did it change anything? No. She just thinks it is gross and weird, and that's the end of it. She's not throwing tomatoes at furries as they get it on.
Stop being a baby.
And I'm not sure what you are talking about when it comes to gay or civil rights. Like, gay or civil rights regarding their ability to fuck one another? or for black or mexicans or w/e to have sex? I don't see how it correlates. Nobody was talking about rights, we were talking about interests and fetishes which are on two completely different ends of the spectrum.
Actually...

Pretty sure that was their point with this comment.
I am one of those furries who everyone knows about and has never had a problem with it because the definition of furry has become more accepted.
I nevr shared fetishes though, I just said fursuits were awesome, I wnated one, and I loved to draw furries. Up until now every has been like, oh, okay, harmless family friendly nerd...
Now I have a problem.
Sorry.
It just seems really horrible that I am most likely going to be plauged by awkward questions, glances and the like from non furry friends who were just satisfied with the explination on furry that I told them.
Now their going to be like...So, this is what you have been keeping from us huuuh?"
Not that we should lie, but for the most part, unless someones a furry I don't think they should have to know about all of the sexual things going on with out fandom.
And if you have that standpoint, then why would you have to explain furry sex to your friends? Just tell them to google it if they want to find out more. it is none of their business what you do or do not do in the fandom.
Wow, guess I have shitty friends if they leave me over something like that.
Eh, i'll quiet down now.
My anger is already gone really. She messed up, thats her thing.
journaling pretty much emptied my hate tank.
In my opinion if people are THAT touchy on the subject, they don't need to be in the fandom at all. I mean don't get me wrong, I don't agree with her sexual interests, but if thats the way her and significant other want to do it, its none of my business. Yeah I don't like to get jiggy in a fursuit, or even WEAR a fursuit. Thats my choice, no one elses.
Anyway on topic. I'm actually -really- new to this fandom, so this tyra banks thing DOESN'T affect me at all. Though, years back I was constantly picked on as a 'furry' because I drew characters with animal ears. At the time, I didn't know what a furry was or why I was being teased about it. It actually hurt back then, but now I don't care.
However, when someone feels stronger about a hobby, or a style they enjoy to see someone destroy it in front of the world COULD easily bring a rage on. I can see. Because, I know a lot of people who do watch Tyra and now know they'll be thinking furry or anthro artist are all closet perverts. Which, I guess a lot could be, but there are some out there are ARE NOT.
I could see how people could get the wrong idea because of how poorly it was explained on the show.
The internet is far more accessible than the Tyra Banks show is. People are far more easily subjected to the furry fandom on a daily basis via the internet and online, there are things far worse within the fandom than this one girl who is having sex in a way she enjoys with a man she loves.
Furries bitching about how one person having fursuit sex ruined the fandom for everyone else are hypocritical. End story.
For the most part most people OUTSIDE of the hobby already think 'furries' are perverts. Mostly thanks to like 4chan, etc. What the people did on the show today isn't new news AT ALL. Hell, I've seen a show beforehand that mention furries as a sexual fetish a long time ago.
As for the girl and her boyfriend I don't believe she should be banned, or bashed by any means. Sure, she poorly represented the fandom, but the show WAS about sexual fetishes and IDK how else you can explain having sex in a fursuit other then as a furry. She clearly stated that we're not into bestiality or anything of the sorts so for people to be going all apeshit over the matter is pretty stupid.
Honestly I still think she's a cunt and that won't change, I lol'd that she got banned. It's also now over. But god, hypocrisy people.
THIS IS DRAMA
>8[
Youre right, it doesnt affect me. I dont go saying yiff yiff I'm a furry to everyone I know. If I let slip somethin like my drawings or say I'm going to a con, yeah its out of the bag. But even then I'm cool about it.
Just wondering though. Please dont take it as me trying to shoot holes in your argument. I'm curious.
All that aside, the CSI was hollywood. Tyra spoke to actual furries. Jimmy Kimmel did a bit on furries too...but it was fom ah outsider's point of view. But eh. it'll all blow over I guess.
Im over the chewfox thing really...but it affected a lot of people.
In any case, my friends and family know I dabble in furryness, but they're sensible enough and I don't expect any personal consequences for chewfox's actions. But I'm not pleased. She wanted a chance to "represent the fandom" and the got it, but horribly misrepresented it. It's like CSI all over again.
This fandom is hilarious. It'll blow over but chewfox fucked herself over.
have a plushy in my car
read a Furry novel,
Looka t furry art, have a furry license palte,
wear something furry on me...
dont I have the right>?
If you're friends/family now see you as a freak simply based on the fact that you are into the furry fandom, theeeen... they are too judgmental. Anyone that says OMG SINCE THIS ONE CHICK SAID THIS THAT MEANS THEY ARE ALL THE EXACT SAME WAY is a fucking idiot and clearly can't think for themselves.
If your friends abandon you over some chick who said this-and-this on TV and automatically assume her words apply to you, GET NEW FRIENDS.
'Sides, even if someone would even find out I am one (he knows I think.. or suspect but like I give a damn about that.) I can always give him my point of view on matters and that would be that.
Oh and do big boy boxers count? I don't like panties that much really.
SAME FOR FAGS WHO ARE LIKE "I SUK T'COCK LOOK AT ME IN GURLS CLOTHES!11 LOLOLOL BUMS AND EUPHEMISMS AND PHASES AND LOOK AT ME"
DO YOU REMEMBER COLLEGE?
*hi-5's*
This, Chewfox person, got on the Tyra Banks show, and they're making fun of Him/her?
Because she actually said she liked fursuit sex?
Wow furries. You're all fucking pathetic.
So much for being all accepting and shit. Hypocrites.
Thanks for keeping me on the up and up, Paise.
