Fun. Fun. Fun.
One week last week they admitted a new patient to the rehab.
The next morning, every nurse we had on hand pushed the new patient, still in his bed, out of the building through the front door to a waiting ambulance.
The patient was showing signs of Covid 19. The hospital that sent him here did an incredibly piss poor job of screening the guy. And it so happened, I was in the front lobby sipping coffee when the patient and the nurses came barreling past me. The receptionist and I looked at each other after they loaded the patient into that ambulance and took big gulps of coffee.
I need to keep a small bottle of hooch around to Irish up coffee.
We've been doing very well here at the rehab keeping the plague at bay. But five staff members are sitting at home now in quarantine because they were exposed to Covid 19 elsewhere, or had spouses who were exposed.
Fortunately, today went pretty good for me. My brother dropped off a pizza and I binge watched Beastars on Netflix.
The bunny in that show reminded me strongly of a little girl I knew in high school who used sex to find a place to fit in, and that wolf needs a sandwich.
