Everybody deserves a break, Dai. You worked hard so you need a bit of rest. I'm sorry you're feeling this way, but you at least have some loyal fans who got your back. Take care of yourself.
Running a comic series is taxing on everyone man take a break if you feel the urge to come back take but if it has to be put in indefinite hiatus there is no shame in that
I am sad and sorry to hear the news about the work on the comic. But I do hope that things get better in the future for you and the comic. The hope that perhaps you get more pledges, that you may go though your hiatus very fine, (hopefully it won't be too long of a break, I just don't know) and that FFC can go back into production.
At least you are doing better than me. You are accomplishing your dream to contribute something big and entertaining to the world. I wish to do comics and/or movies (most likely in hand-drawn animtion) with my characters. I have some good stories and ideas of how these comics and movies would be played out. But I lack the people, the money, a studio , and other resources to do so. I could draw a big comic on my own. But I tend to never do the comic or finish them. This is due to me being being lazy/tired often, having writer's block or not knowing what to do. It doesn't help that I am in my late 40s already.
That's a pity, its a fun series. Sounds like you're burnt out on it though. Maybe in a few months you'll feel like working on it again. In the future you might consider making chapters a little more episodic so you can crank out a nice self contained chapter with enough resolution that you don't have to worry so much about when you get the next chapter done.
Sometimes its better to look back into the past and dont cry about its over but think about what you did and what good time you had with it. If you think its over, its over. maybe for the best. Sometimes, series keep running "to long" so that they slowly fade into something like a bad memory or old taste you might remember from the better days.
If you think you need a rest, take one. if you think its over, move on and find new power and find soemthing new which works out for you. Good luck in either way.
Frankly the're not important in compariosn.
