Say nothing and just block them. By saying something, you're giving them some sort of attention. However if you just block them immediately and say nothing they'll just be confused and most likely will think what they did to warrant the block in the first place. Curate your social media experience the way you want it to be.

Yes. And if they catch themselves contacting you under alt accounts, you can block and report them for harassment.

I've tried this approach and it's not for me. I don't feel right about first-resort blocking someone if they hadn't personally offended me badly enough, even if I dislike their behavior or (lack of) mentality. Perhaps I should return to my "aggressive retaliation" method...
