It's been a while since everyone's daily life started being disrupted by this global pandemic. Many have lost their jobs, many are still working and more than ever because their jobs are more demanded now, and it's probably gonna be a while longer like this.
I have no words for the ones not caring about this mess just because THEY are low risk.
For everyone else, no matter if you're going crazy from being stuck at home or risking your health working harder than ever, I hope you stay safe and keep the ones with compromised immunity safe too. We'll get though this shit together.
I personally didn't have to change much at all since I already was mostly working from home, going out only when extremely necessary for groceries or special jobs, I don't have many local friends, my family relationships are all broken, and for a few years now a good portion of my food comes out of my own little garden. So I've had many years already getting used to a boring stuck-at-home living before all this.
Also, this year I started working out. At the start of the year I was in a real slump physically and mentally, super depressed and my body breaking apart from injuries I've piled up through the years, so I started with a really light 10 min daily routine for the first and second month very carefully until my knees and back got strong enough to do actual work out... and at this point I've been able to crank up the intensity of the work out quite a lot.
Not only got my body out of the total stalling it was in. The pain on my joints and specially the back pain that was a daily thing for years are now gone and I'm even starting to get muscular, still there's dad bod but yeah, fat is getting burned little by little and muscles are coming out. Mentally I've been so much better just after the first couple of months.
I'm kinda happy, even if many things aren't going well for me in some aspects.
What I'm trying to say is that through this isolation time is a good idea to work out, keep your body active. It does help the mind, specially if you strenghten up enough to get rid of some chronic pains... having constant pain makes you mentally miserable. You can do a very well rounded work out routine with only body weight if you don't have any gear, just do a routine that you can stick to, make it more challenging only once it get's too easy.
Stay healthy, guys!

Unfortunately we've gone through so many changes my gym routine got so messed up I can't do much, or have much time to go out and do anything anymore.
I wish we could return to normal soon, but who knows how long this will stick around. It gets closer and closer to our lives every passing day. I've had several close encounters already. I'm labeled as essential since I'm a government employee. I can't just stay home, I have to be out there dealing with folks.
Here in Texas I've noticed a large amount of elderly folks with the mindset of "I've been through everything and I'm nearly dead, I don't care about Corona" that are out there spreading it. Combine that with the belief that most Texans think they are bulletproof, downward spiral. My towns been doubling in cases every week. We had 2 cases 3 weeks ago. We're closer to 500.
I'm worried because I have a compromised immune system. I've had strep nearly 15 times last year, the flu twice and pneumonia.
I'm staying positive even after all this. I'm barely 25, my birthday is in 5 days. I hope we can return to a normal life sometime this or next year.
We gotta move on forward, right? I hope you stay safe over there Leo.
But nah I'm good, went fishing a while ago rigjt before the shit hit the fan in Central NY. Glad I went when I did or else I might truly be going insane. Staying home, safe, and distant.
Soon could mean a few minutes for a cup of coffee
10 minutes for a ok dinner
3 hours for a flight
1 day for a big event
A few days for a minor battle
A few weeks for a major battle
A few years for a war
A few million years for a geological era
I totally agree with what you say about activities while confinement. When I'll can breath correctly, I think I'll try to do some physical activity.
Just take care of you, my friend. All our thoughts from France.
I think, my exercise bike laughs at me :/
Big hug from france !
