I think that's been the case for a while. Eventually they'll tell you they need more information because they're lawfully obligated to do so. It's a one-time thing though.

i have had once my card on there but after getting new one i have not added my card on there and i was able to use it normally as long as i had money in my paypal. right now i got money in paypal and it tells me to add my card when i try to give money to friend if i try to pay for commission or if i try to buy something with it. also waiting for third card to come cause again had to close mine for stupid reasons.

yeah. but i believe its some sort of security thing cause i was able to many times send money to others without adding my card. but now it seems i have to link my card to pay with paypal. i wonder is it cause of covid-19.

Yeah, for me it asked once I hit a certain yearly limit.

Linking your debit card gets rid of said limit though. And it was a thing long before covid-19.

huh. well i guess i just add it in my paypal then when i get new card. paypal is safe one and such.
