Oh, a fan of the classics.

I watched it last year I think and I quite liked it - of course you have to replace it in its context...

I don't know what Cinemagic is supposed to be, but I saw a clip on Da Toob and yes, that was indeed classic Cold War, B-movie, Date Night kitch.
Wonderfully awful.
But hey, at least it wasn't the Giant Claw.

I don't know why, but I could never make myself look at the monster on "The Giant Claw", and a few years later I saw it, and was so depressed. I can still remember what ran through my head.

"That's what I was afraid of!"

The backstory to that film and that... creature is sad and pathetic, and somewhat tragic.
First off, footage on the birb was all done post-production by a studio in Mexico, and nobody who's on-screen had any idea of what the flying thing As Big As A Battleship was even going to look like. Needless to say, the final product was thoroughly underwhelming, and the male lead, who busted his ass to carry the scariness of a monster he had never seen, was driven to drink by what he saw when the film released.
