does anyone else get anxiety when they draw?
typically what happens is I get hyped thinking about a picture but then I wonder if it'll be good enough for who I do it for or even for myself; then I think about the amount of work I'ma put into it and then it goes downhill from there...

Kinda. I usually end up in "what's the point" territory and don't bother though.

I do but I've tried to separate myself from the work and take a quick breather. Usually it's an anxiety spike or I'm overly tired, going outside for a few minutes to breathe and drink some water usually helps a bit. Sometimes it's better to save the file I'm working on, sleep and try again tomorrow. Another thought I've been coming to is (but keep in mind it's with personal art on my end mostly) that it doesn't matter how good or bad it come out as - in the end the more I draw the better I get. Worrying wether it's good enough or not doesn't matter as long as I have fun and I learned something from trying something new. I know it can be a hard mindset to get into but it's made drawing art much less problematic for myself since I started approaching it like this. I'm not sure if my advice is helpful, but I hope you're able to find something that works for you. <3

This is really common with artists. I get it really bad, to the point I don't even draw for myself a lot of times
