My supervisor emailed me this afternoon saying that because of budget cuts caused by the epidemic, they are unable to let me continue my teleworking job as a captionist at my college...

I've been encouraged to work as much as I can until May 17, but after that I'll officially be jobless once again.

She said that she really enjoyed my help and will reach out to me should things improve, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm back to square one...

All that work over the past 15 months were for nothing... I'm not even sure I can go back to my previous job if I wanted to because that one involves transporting railroad workers for hours, and that's not considering if the place hasn't already been shuttered too because of the epidemic... Not to mention my car is still being serviced so I'd be unable to commit to the on-call schedule it requires...

Man, this really wasn't needed right now. I don't even know if I'm eligible for unemployment...
