A guy I follow on Twitch had preordered the “remaster”, and I put that in heavy quotes because of how crap it is as a remaster, of Warcraft 3. He made the preorder immediately after the 2017 trailer that looked boss as hell. To say he was angry and disappointed with the final product would be an understatement, he was taken in by a fancy trailer that turned out to be a lie built on high end PCs.

Since Aliens: Colonial Marines I have learned to never trust trailers more often than not they are a pack of lies. And at this point I think everyone should know and understand.

It's crazy how we went from "How much a game sold?" to "How much the game sold at launch?" and now to "How many pre-orders did it get?".

The only game right now that I could get excited over to the point that I'd want it at launch, would be any Final Fantasy 14 expansion. The people behind do give people unique EXP bonus items for pre-ordering, which can only be obtained this way, so .... I do confess to being guilty of pre-ordering stuff. Still, I've grown to trust these people, as they have not disappointed me so far. Looking at some other companies, I'd have a lot less trust.
