ACNH Amiibo card question.

Okay so thanks to
angrynightmob I have a number of Animal Crossing Amiibo cards. I know how to use them and how they work, but there is something else I am wondering.
I hear that at one point the Amiibo card visitors could create various bugs/glitches in the game. Have those issues been fixed? Or was that an isolated occurence?
I just don't wanna scan a villager in and breaking my game ruining all my hard work.

On my island currently: Marina, Cranston, Bunnie, Celia, Yuka, Bubbles, Boris, Sterling, Paula and Bones.
It wasn't something that would pose a problem to your own game, but to someone else's, but this hasn't really been documented or observed since the launch period.
Incidentally, I had Poppy in my camp a couple of days ago, that was neat, but I'm planning to have Merengue move in at some point as my resident normal villager.
In any case I already started the process of getting Cole onto my island, 2 days down 1 to go. =3
I will VERY likely wait like once a month for any of the others, I don't wanna just get all me "dream" villagers within days after all.
When Dotty showed up in a camp at random, she ended up getting Rex evicted at random, which was fine with me.
When I had Cherry move in, Tiffany had already told me that she wants to move out, so that ended up happening.
I've heard that villagers will possibly alert you about wanting to move out every 15 days, so you just have to wait another 15 days and see if someone wants to leave.
Most recently, that was Bob for me, of course I asked him to stay.
I'm also pretty sure that it doesn't pull any nonsense like in ACNL, where you can say "okay" to someone announcing they want to leave, and they decide to actually stay because you didn't avoid talking to them entirely. Thankfully ACNH employs a system where villagers cannot leave unannounced, they HAVE to run it past you.
I've not had ANY good campers and have only had Renee and Rodney (THANK GOODNESS) move out. And yeah I have heard of the every 15 days thing.
I have heard of that too, so no having a favorite villager move out like in ACNL... Man Cole moving out bugged me. But it won't happen now~
I really like her, but the problem with her is she's stuck in the "initial 5 villager" house. What a dumb mechanic of the game...
Aside from Poppy, my other recent camper was Tutu, but she wasn't interesting.
It seems like the 15 fifteen days might be "15 days since the previous move-out", not "15 days since the previous discussion about moving out", as I recently had Julian talk about it not long after Bob did.
Yeah, I'm so glad that favourite villagers can't just move away out of your control now.
What I do miss is not having your past residents show up in the high street, that was still a nice feature.
Celia is a nice eagle, I've seen her on Vinny's stream too, but yeah the "initial 5" housing thing is a real drag.
I've been fortunate that I'm not too attached to my first five, two of which have already left.
Certain mechanics of the game are really being called into question often, like how they silently removed the hybrid flower islands from the Nook Mystery Tours in the v1.2.0 update.
Also, like I mentioned, Julian wanted to move out, and he did so yesterday, leaving me with a vacant plot today.
Two days ago I started scanning my Marshal amiibo card (bought used for £2.50 years ago), to prepare to invite him today, but I also decided that I would spend today doing Nook Miles tours to see if I can find a nice villager like Raymond or Wolfgang.
On my first trip, I ended up finding Phoebe! I decided I wanted to invite her, because she is a very nice phoenix/ostrich~
I've seen her on Vargskelethor's streams where he calls her a Lidl bird. :P
That does mean though that I'll now have three sisterly personalities on my island, Charlise, Cherry, and Phoebe, as well as no smug.
So I'm considering still using my Marshall amiibo to have Charlise move away, as cool as she's been.
Ehhh, I don't like any of the bears.
That was a neat feature in New Leaf, I wished I could see Cole one last time in New Leaf before I ended.
Yeah, I love Celia, she is a sweet Normal villager. And since she's an eagle model it makes her look kind of buff thanks to the size. =P
Huh, they removed hybrid flower islands? How pointless. Stuff like that worries me, like if they change stuff like that what more will they change?
Oh hey, I'd like Phoebe as well. =3 She's on my list of desired villagers:

Top row are the 10 villagers I have, just replace Bones with Cole now.
The second row are the villagers I want most.
Third row are the ones I want but lesser than row 1.
Fourth row are kind ones I'd just accept if I encountered.
Bottom row is ideal setup of 2 Normal, 2 Lazy and 1 of the rest. I am also avoiding repeats from New Leaf as much as possible. Tom however is just one of the few Cranky villagers I like.
I'm not planning to have Baabara, Benjamin, or Groucho again, but they weren't half bad.
I'm not a fan of how sheep wear fashion in ACNH though, I preferred the scarf approach from ACNL.
Groucho is the one bear I actually kinda liked.
Yeah, I would occasionally see Tammi in my high street, who was a welcome sight.
Brocollo, not so much.
Celia being a sweet normal eagle suits her perfectly. :3
They already changed the spawn rate of peacock butterflies, scorpion and tarantulas, and they reduced the monthly interest on your ABD savings. :\
Removing the hybrid flower island is a much more significant change though, it would reward you with a large number of flowers that you might not be able to grow conveniently, or that many in a day. Even more significantly than that, those flowers had specific genetics that made it particularly easy to grow elusive hybrids like blue roses or purple pansies.
I noticed, that's especially why I wanted to mention finding Phoebe on my first tour of the day. :3
I was planning to make multiple trips today too.
Tom's not bad, but for me the best cranky villager would have to be Wolfgang.
Rolf's okay as a cranky but the tiger models aren't great.
Octavian has been pretty alright so far, nice to have an octopus villager for the first time, but he isn't planned to stay forever.
I remember seeing Frita the hamburger/french fry goat on my New Leaf town wearing a white scarf, it looked like a napkin. =P
Fair enough. =P
Indeed. =3
Yeah, these things may be small but it develops a fear of what more could/would they change? What if people figure out the full RNG to island villagers and Nintendo changes that. Or other things.
I managed to get hybrid hyacinths from a hybrid island, so thanks to that I have every color of hyachinth.
Ahh, I see. =3
I haven't gotten to do any island trips since Rodney moved out and Bunnie moved in.
Tom just clicks with me for some reason. =P I don't care for the wolves but I am sure you knew that. =P
I am currently lacking a smug, Rodney was my Smug for a while but he's gone.
