Some Life Changes
5 years ago
So I got laid off today. Just wanna rip that band-aid off right out the gate.
Nothing I did, just massive downsizing due to the steep drop in my company's business due to the current situation. Fortunately, I'm not entirely unprepared - I've been saving up a good amount of funds while working that I can coast for a while. What gets me is more just wondering what my next move will be. My family is probably expecting me to get another regular job, and I'm personally considering leaning more into the freelance artist/game maker position, especially if the lock-down/semi-lock-down makes job hunting difficult.
If you're getting a commission from me, I fully intend to follow through at the same pace I've been going before, if not possibly faster due to potential free time. I'd rather not add myself to that long list of artists who flake out at the first wrinkle in their life. :P
Also, I'll still be following through on those inflatable bopper orders! In fact, if you have any interest and the money to spare, a few more preorders would be much appreciated!

Preorders on those are still closing at the end of the 23rd, so that's this Saturday.
Additionally, I still have a ko-fi! -> https://ko-fi.com/aygee99
Commission queue is still here -> https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9454663
Anyboo, I'm gonna go about keeping a stiff upper lip and my chin up. Might update my streaming schedule in the near future. Depending on how much time closing things out and job hunting takes, I could potentially be doing daily/nightly work - give myself plenty of time to draw all those fun ideas I've had.

And yea, being in that limbo "what to do next?" is quite the situation - and it's really hard weighing options. Still, you can do it~ since you have some reserves for now, might try and go it work freelance work and see how it goes? A few weeks or so (if possible) might give a bit of an impression how well - or not - it works out.
I hope your able to land it with the game maker and freelance work. I look forward to seeing how "all wound up" manages to shape up.
