Like literally this. I don’t like all this hype about this anime. I just really can’t get into this concept. It’s retarded and made by people who have no clue how animals in real world are doing. Carnivores are on the top of food chain, yes. But they not there because they stronger. They’re there because they shameless, cheating, abusing and backstabbing creatures. Carnivores mostly attacking smaller creatures, or attacking very rapidly from ambush, so prey even hasn’t chances to think about answer. So herbivores just will try to run or will instantly die. That’s because herbivores passive on purpose by nature. Almost everytime if herbivores actively resisting(and unwounded), carnivores have no chances at all. If stag in real life would want to kick ass to wolf, be sure wolf would go with kicked ass in every chance. So carnivores only attack in groups, overwhelming their prey(wolfs, hyenas, lions); ambushing and than strike anatomic vulnerable parts of body; or simply hunting on smaller and weaker prey. Not even saying that carnivores almost always killing only ill/weak subjects. And in antro world.. This concept just doesn’t work. Herbivores have to be much more stupid than carnivores on purpose, but it’s not in Beastars. I just cannot get the idea, whole world looks so retarded. Why would you be scare of standing next to some carnivore when your leg hit can literally kill it? It just really stupid, anime is just giving stupid scenario power to carnivores which they won’t have in real life.
This concept would work if instead of carnivores we had anthropomorphic insects. Yes than I would believe in it. None of spinal animals can stand against sentient insects with same size. They are true cold-blood killing machines, not that puppies and pussies *Vomits in disgust*
