dream gave me a game idea

I just had a dream that gave me a horror souls-esque game idea.
the story would be that something has released a technological nanovirus into the planet that begins mutating wildlife and eventually humans into huge techno-organic monsters.
the player can go two routs by the game's end, depending on what they do to the bodies of monsters they kill, Living Monster, where he absorbs so much virus laced blood into his system in an attempt to upgrade himself, mutates into a mindless monster himself
or techno-knight, where he burns all the bodies of the creatures, destroying the virus in their systems before it can infect anyone else, but having to upgrade his capabilities some other way
the monsters may just look like hulking machines on the outside, but the inside is a gross amalgamation of living tissue and technological circuits
only creatures and humans with a critical amount of virus will mutate, explaining why everything hasn't mutated already.
it's this criticality that leads to the bad Living Monster ending
anyone think this is a cool idea?
