"Even in the darkest of nights, morning always comes"
G'day mates, here we have the second of a series of journals which I will be posting while the lockdown continues.
This "Ask my character anything" Journal will be dedicated to Lionheart!
You can still continue to ask questions for Strikira via the link below!
https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9501804
Now before we start I just wanna put down some ground rules:
1: Creepy Comments will be deleted if I feel that they cross the line (especially if it's being done via an unsolicited roleplay).
2: Questions don't have to be about the Colmaton universe, as I am looking at expanding Lionheart beyond just Colmaton.
3: If you wish to ask multiple questions on the same comment, feel free but do ensure that it's not written as a wall of text (line breaks and spacing is the friend of all writers).
Now that's out of the way, lets get this show underway!

"Oh! Yes, I know of Tyrannix! I actually faced off against him a few times. Interestingly enough his behaviour is something I consider a semi-sentient! The fact that he can recognize specific individuals and his surroundings means that he is self-aware of sentient life around him! It actually explains how he's able to use his "Whale's song" to render kaiju fighters like myself and other sentient beings and attackers into a sort of docile hypnotic state while he feeds on industrial waste. Basically he developed a kind of feeding method where it allows him to feast on his favoured food without being disturbed...however, the fact he saves children might also point to some kind of parental institict....i actually spoke to Tsunami about Tyrannix and she theorized that he or she might have been some kind of natural...well I guess in as nice terms as I can put it...the planets walking trash can, feasting on industrial waste and chemicals and internally burning it off to prevent it from polluting the enviroment...of course more studies would need to be carried out to confirm this."
1. What do you think about another lions in Universe?
2. What is your relationship with Strikira?
3. Have you ever been on action or patrolling together with War Wolf?
Her eyes light up upon hearing Strikira's name. "She's one of my best friends in the bureau! We met when I volunteered at the academy back in 2011, around the time she joined the Bureau and been keeping in constant contact since then. She is an amazing person, plus we are gaming and karaoke buddies! Of course, I tend to get abit ummmm aggressive when we take video games abit too seriously...STILL, I have done a ton of patrols with her and we always have each others backs when we are in town together!"
"Oh War Wolf? Ummmm hehe, I never actually patrolled with War Wolf...Strikira has been trying to get me to do a patrol with her for the longest time.... I almost did run into her when she was in Japan a while back, her and Poison Lily were involved in an incident at PanAsian Plaza where they battled the Gin Kizuato yakuza clan...i even heard War Wolf herself single-handedly bested the clan's muscle Tetsu...of course they also stolen an SAT assault vehicle and rammed it into the plaza as well...Samurai Jackrabbit really wanted them both arrested but both of their actions resulted in the clan's leader Kito Akamatsu being taken into custody and his clan in disarray...I mean I still am up for a meeting and patroling with War Wolf...but Strikira keeps saying that I might be scared by War Wolf's "attack frown"... I honestly can't tell if she is serious about War Wolf having a weaponized war frown or not but I guess I'll find out one day!"
2. How do you deal with the Japanese fandom?
3. What's your favorite Japanese food?
"Rikishi was my main patrol partner and he was one of the kindest and sweetest gentle giants I ever have known; as not only did he make me feel welcomed while I was in Japan, but also exposed me to a lot of the culture while we were out in the streets together; it's because of him I've become such a foodie when it comes to the enjoyment of Japanese cuisine, as I couldn't count the times he would warmly encourage me to try new dishes every day while we protected Toyko."
"Strikira is another, I have been extremely close friends with her for a long time and we always cooperate on cases. She also serves as my emergency contact if I ever need anything urgently; I've owed her so much for the things she has done for me. We also are regulars
"Turbo Jaguar...It was a shock when I got the call from Ranger and Morningstar to be transferred to Paladice city; and aid in teaching an upstart unregistered super how to be an upstanding superhero. If I hadn't gone, Turbo would have ended up forced to join the bureau or be arrested and end up as another example of heroes gone bad. He has a heart of gold, and while he can be a little...Ummm awkward and a bit of a dumb silly kitty at times; he has been one of my best success stories on how trust between unregistered and registered supers can be earned. He also cares about his friends very much, and we both had each other backs time and time again, especially when facing off against those thugs at keystone!"
"Daredevil Dragon II is another partner I enjoy spending time with; she is a bit new on the block and she was paired up with me for anti-kaiju operations with me serving as a mentor role for her. She's a fast learner and enjoys our social hangouts with others. I and Strikira often will have her over for burgers on the rooftop if we are all patrolling in the same city!"
"And lastly we have Halifax, who I've recently been working with following the cleanup and recovery operations in Vancouver. I've been there to support him any way I can; his been soon much and the Canadian UNBOS has gladly allowed myself to be assigned to him as his partner. We tend to extend our patrols a bit more often so we can spend time chatting, relaxing and grabbing milkshakes."
A bit of an unusual frown form on her faces when she moves on. "As for those I least enjoyed working with. Hagane comes to mind... I dreaded being assigned to patrols with him during my early years...especially counter kaiju operations..he once killed a scared kaiju monster just when we were so close to getting it out of Osaka... I cried for weeks over that...there was no reason to harm the creature when it was dazed from a cyclone that struck the region recently; and it was scared, confused and just wanted to go back home!"
She shakes abit but manages to recompose herself. "He uses to bully me a lot as being weak and foreign, but over time we was getting better and less of a jerk...he apologised to me about a year or so before his death... I still think of how he could have been had things were different...especially between him and Onna."
When the topic of fandoms comes up, Lionheart raises her finger while explaining. "Oh that's easy, I interact with them, respond to as many fan mail letters and messages as I can, and treat them with the respect that i would expect to be treated with!"
"A common misconception is that Japanese superhero fans are obsessive, crazy perverts who were overjoyed over the idea of the fuku law being in place. That is actually untrue since the majority of fans genuinely are thankful for supers like myself and others who do battle with criminals and supervillains on a day to day basis. A lot of the fans I have in Japan send me tons of mail, packages and gifts of appreciation and thanks every year. I can't recall how many times I been told in a piece of fanmail how I saved someone's life or inspired someone to be a better person in their community, to stand up for themselves and others, and even wishing to become a superhero themselves when they are older."
"While some...odd fans do come about every now then, I'm still going to treat them as a person and write back to them, while providing constructive criticism on their behaviour and ideas for self-improvement...It doesn't always work but it's better than being a downright meanie to them. We heroes are around to set an example to others and inspire them to do better and be the best they can be. Most fan letters that heroes in the UNBOS get are often ignored or judged as being nothing but the ramblings of perverted tom Matthew's followers...but I see it more that fans will often reach out to use as a cry for help and support in their darkest moments, and we need to be the light that shines for them, the one that can give them hope for tomorrow!"
"As for my favourite Japanese dish, hands down would have to go with Prawn Takoyaki! basically think of a battered dumpling with a prawn inside and covered with bonito flakes, seaweed, takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise! I highly recommend it!"
2. what is your favorite kind of ramen?
"Now when it comes to ramen, you can't go wrong with a nice hot bowl of Tonkotsu ramen! It's by far one of my favourite dishes that i enjoy while in japan; and great for keeping you warm on a cold night!"
2. When you're in London, do you think Fire Fox is too bossy?
3. How long did it take you to learn Japanese?
She gives a bit of a nervous chuckle. "Oh Fire Fox is a bit bossy, she was one of my superiours when I was stationed in London, but she can be nice...just don't get in her way when it comes to fish and chips, otherwise she will get really mad!
"As for learning Japanese, it took me a couple of years to become fluent in the language. You can actually get around Japan knowing very little if you are a tourist but for me, it was vital to know the language because of my profession and my role as a UNBOS agent. I also gained confidence to use the language more often because of my guest appearances on comedy talk and game shows!"
"After that, I practised with my abilities for years and told no one as I really wanted to continue a normal life and become a teacher...but then my powers really developed when I caught a bunch of no good tossers trying to take advantage of a lady in the forest. I think the fact I was so angry seeing them trying to harm this poor woman resulted in my fur changing colour for the first time...my shock at this almost got me in trouble of my own when the thugs jumped me but my now awaken abilities were too much for them...they all ended up serving lengthy sentences and won't be out of prison any time soon!"
The next question brightens Lionheart's mood as she gives a cheerful smile. "I've been to a fair number of countries over my career, but honestly Japan is the one enjoy the most; primarily because a lot of my teaching jobs are Asia focused and I keep getting asked to come back time and time again because I work so well with students. I'm also friends with some of the parents of my students as well, I get invited to karaoke bars, and they even have me over for dinner as well! Not to mention I get to travel the country on my time and really get to know it's people and culture with the respect it deserves!"
Will you ever go back to the UK?
Do you struggle with anything at the BOS?
Can I introduce you to other heroes, such as Kapten Lila?
Her ears droop a little to the question; as she becomes quite saddened. "To be honest I actually really struggled when I was stationed in Japan...not only was I constantly harassed by members of the UNBOS and government officials for using a loophole in the Fuku law...but the then assistant director of Japan Hagane had it out for me an all other foreign supers stationed in the country... I was singled out and Hagane would deliberately injure me during sparring and training exercises; not to mention verbally abuse me over the slightest inconvenience... I often would bottle up my emotions and cry myself to sleep at night alone in my apartment...but sometimes I wouldn't be able to hold them back; Hagane saw tears as a sign of weakness and would continue to harass until someone stepped in...Those first years in Japan were tough; but eventually, I found support thought supers like Combat, Rikishi, Shinkansen and my then sensei Onna-Bugeisha; who encountered me and helped me stand up to Hagane...and for that, I'm eternally grateful for their friendship!" Lionheart smiles and wipes some tears from her eyes as she recomposes herself.
"Ummmm I'm not quite sure I have heard of such a hero; are they from one of those early morning children's cartoons?"
1) What sort/types of kaiju do you hate fighting the most...
2) Would you ever side with the Parasol?
3) Who's your favorite heroine?
4) What you think of Chemigal? The strange specialist heroine who is probably the least well known heroine in the BOS?
Lionheart thinks for a moment on the next one. "I heard about Parasol...honestly I would side with her only if it was absolutely necessary, but from what I heard she isn't a bad person, she just has questionable methods."
"Hmmmm honestly it's really hard to pin down an absolute favourite; as there are a bunch of heroines who I look up. My favourites based on the work they do and how I wish to meet and interact with them, or have done so already includes War Wolf, Spectra, Brown Lotus, Lady Liberty, Strikira, Chemigal, Daredevil Dragon II, Sakura, Ranger, Stormwave, and Desert Dog.
"Oh Chemigal! I really wish she would get more coverage, she doesn't a lot of work for the UNBOS and is our top hazmat specialist. I personally invited her to the anti-kaiju strike teams due to her experience dealing with biohazard type monsters; plus she saved my life on more than one occasion as well! I believe she is a highly respected and valued member of the UNBOS and really needs to be shown that she belongs!"

2. And have you met the Royal Family?
"I honestly haven't met the Royal Family...I would like to but i don't think it would happen anytime soon."
Another question, what do you think of Britannia, Firefox, Samurai Jack and Morningstar?
2. Who you think would win in arm wrestling? You or Strikira?
3. What place would you love to have a vacation at the most?
The mention of arm wrestling perks up Lionheart's ears as she looks quite confident. "Oh, I would hand down!"
"Oh and for where I would love to vacation, other than Japan I'm actually really fond of Thailand, New Zealand and Greece."
2) Which villains do you dread facing?
"As for villains i dread facing, they include Grapple Queen, Sake, Tempura, Sushi Skunk, Bruiser, Thug, Tóngshī, Snowflake, Addiction, Sandstalker and Steklo are among those."
"Now the majority of monsters that you most supers are likely to encounter are actually small compared to the massive city destroyers that make landfall on rare occasions. 7 to 15 feet monsters are the most common that the Anti-Kaiju taskforce has encountered, and are generally ones that naturally exist in the world such as yokai, demons and undiscovered species; while others are are created by individuals like Dr Cyberclaw, Dr Genesis, Dr Dizzy, Hazmat and other genetic and biological super villains. On very rare occasions a true kaiju which is anything over 50 feet may appear and those will either require a mass response."
"First important point to take into consideration is identification of the monster/kaiju's behaviour to determine it's cognitive thought process. We generally assess the threat level of monsters based on their behaviour and if they show sentient thought and behaviour. Ferals are those that only work on basic natural insistent and often can't be reasoned with, basically think of any feral animal but much bigger; they often work on a fight or flight response, and are at their most dangerous when scared or cornered. Then you have your semi-sentients, monsters that have a an understanding of their surroundings but can't communicate in a sentient manner; they often are able to figure out your intentions and can be selective of which path they would take when making landfall. Lastly, you have full sentient monsters, who are able to communicate in a sentient manner and are fully aware of their actions and behaviour; you often see this in smaller monsters but on very rare occasions we have encountered fully sentient kaijus in the field; they also present an added danger of deliberately targeting superheroes and kaiju fighters like myself before the go on a rampage, seeking to capture or take us out of action so we can't interfere.
"When a kaiju's threat level is gained, the first thing you need to do is get civilians out of harms way, get them cleared from the area, and put their lives first ahead of property; buildings can be rebuilt but you can't bring back people. Usually, I would suggest a minimum safe distance of at least 10 km from the battle site."
"With civilians out of the way, you can focus on getting the monster out of the city. This is ideal since getting the monster out to open water or and open sparsely populated area means that you can focus solely on dealing with the monster. This can be done in a number of ways, from baiting or luring the monster to follow/chase you, often with taunting or if needed, presenting yourself as it's prey or desired opponent; to more direct methods as wrestling it out of a densely populated area by force. This usually works against Feral and semi-sentient monsters but not os much against fully sentient ones. Regardless, it's important to get them out of the city, however if that is not possible, then subduing the monster as quickly as possible within the city limits may be your only other option. I try to not kill any monster I fight unless I have no choice, but if the lives of others are at risk, it may be the only way to stop a rampage."
"Once a monster has been subdued, it should be transported away from a populated area as quickly as possible. It can be either to a containment site that the country you are stationed in may have set up, or if the origin point/home of the monster is known, it should be taken home and left there. Medical treatment can be applied to the creature if you know what you are doing, but often a lot of these monsters have their own regenerative abilities so they are usually ok after being pummeled in a fight. Just be prepared to fight again if it wakes up during transport."
"Also a superhero should never engage a monster or kaiju on their own if they know the odds are stacked against them. I've seen a lot of my fellow supers end up seriously injured trying to fight said creatures by themselves without support. UNBOS policy usually advises these creatures to be handled by members of the Anti-Kaiju taskforce, however, I know that we can't be in every city on the planet to tackle these threats. Engaging a monster in numbers is the best way to handle the situation, trust each other especially if you are working with unregistered supers. Also, don't be afraid to cut your losses and retreat; falling back and ensuring civilians are evacuated is sometimes a better solution than getting yourself killed in a monster rampage."
After explaining all this, Lionheart takes a few sips of water before continuing. "Now as for your question about Warp. a teleporter like him would be useful for baiting and luring a monster form a densely populated area. Blinking all over the place will get any monsters attention, especially if they are feral or semi-sentient, they will follow him like moths to a light blub. If he can keep their attention and get them to a more ideal location, he might be able to also use his teleporting to deliver strikes to them; I would focus on targeting weak points if they can be identified. If he is doing this on his own, I would recommend getting additional backup as well if it's too much for him to handle; usually, anti-kaiju task force members can be deployed within 24 hours globally on emergencies, but if that's not possible, then assistance from any other superhero would do just fine!"
1 hey there lionheart just curious but have you ever heard of TKO as she is quite a new herione in the BOS and what do you thnk of her?
2 im sure you have heard of him as he is quite notius around colmaton but have you ever heard of riku edgewing and what do you thnk of him and his extrme anger issues but also knowing he puts some of the worst crimnals in colmaton behind bars

1. Have you ever had to play mediator between two heroes, if so, which stories stick out the most for you in terms of intensity or at least eyerolling funniness.
2. What would you say is your FAVE hobby outside of both of your jobs?
