Yeah, Steel's just a cartoonish hyper exaggeration of my IRL self in a lot of ways. Most of my other characters not really, though some things like my sense of humour will always bleed through.

My Shadowrun characters do seem to end up being based on an aspect of my personality, either something I like or something I don't.

my main fursona is basically me as an anthro. I wouldnt say I am my fursona though.Theres a difference there .My other characetrs I own really arent based off of me .I really havent developed them near enough really.

All of my characters are the symbol of certain qualities and aspects in my life, where Pepster is the embodiment of my entire being.

Vikki is my core self, unbound by my fear and anxiety.

Most of mine contain bits of my personality. None of them are fursonae, though.

I save my windbagging for the descriptions I include with my uploads. Even I am surprised at the consistency I'm able to maintain with those,and I am by no means a 'writer'.

So I basically have two main characters, and I think they represent who I want to be

Kharivas is strong and independent, goes where he wants, does what he wants

and Jakon is a guardian who will always defend the oppressed

Pretty much. People have called me an 'Otherkin' all the time, and Dracos is basically my draconic self. I have others I mostly keep personal as far as 'personas', but yes, my character is me.

It is a common question and many artists will say what they draw has nothing to do with them.
That question sort of branches for me..
Any of my SL looks/mindsets are me. They differ in some way and for some it's just the species but they are me.
My SL Family are not me, they are Family and as such I have no control on anything about them.
When I was drawing I drew a lot of pin up and none of them were me in any way.
Repeat characters on the other paw, (The MuShurdza family, Dina and others) were part of me or were somebody very important to me.

Well, since I ain't a curvy ravenhaired catbabe, the answer is "no". Tho Matt does have my moustache (and beard, sometimes).

As creators we cannot be all things but we have to keep a ear open so we can represent with some entertainment.

Straight, gay, male or female we want a richness to what we create. However we are just creators who want some fun.

Yeah, sure we pull from ourselves but I can't actually say that I am a Lesbian or Jewish. At a certain point we actually don't have the experience to create with any level of authenticity....

Much like Railride above, there are, like any creative endeavor, bits and pieces of me in my characters. none, though, are ME nor are they fursonae.

My rat is VERY much like the real me. I'm no good at being anyone else.

A few things are more ideal then what I can manage. But yea his likes, attitude, hobbies, etc. What you see is what you get.

My main 'sona was definitely created to be me, and my other OCs were created to allow me to express parts of myself that I wasn't, and in many cases still am not, able to express with real people in my life. I know they're all... aspects of me, because the interactions that the character Susi has with my other characters are all things that reflect my overall personality, my ambitions, my desires... So I suppose you could say that, while Susi is a direct representation of me, the REAL me is if you take all of my characters and combine them back together into one amalgamate.

Often but not always. I explore myself through roleplay and characterization, but sometimes it's just a character, particularly in a tabletop game where I don't craft the stats to the character but more the other way around.

Thomas is a representation of my inner self to a degree at least. Probably best described as being my view on my ideal self. Maybe slightly exaggerated.. >.>
He was created to be a furry version of myself. Everything but physical appearance is shared between the two of us.. interests, hobbies, likes, dislikes, etc. Thomas is more free and open, and has literally 0 risk.. so he can do whatever without any consequences. But otherwise, his actions are indeed my own.
He is me, and I am him.

Theresa... is none of that. As such, she is left with little personality or anything that really defines her outside of 'Thomas' twin sister'. Probably why she isn't seen too often..

Abso-squeaking-lutely. Most of my characters share at least some part of my personality, with Chris Mouse and David the Cyber Collie, my oldest and dearest, sharing the most traits between them. Even my version of Jimmy Lee shares my lust for life, as well as most of my naughty fantasies, while being something uniquely his own.
