Australian Furry Movie Review

Okay, that title is a little misleading, but it's kinda exactly what it is.
So, I was on kimcartoon checking on to see if an episode from a series i watched has aired yet. But, instead I was treated to a plethora of CG animated movies made by people stuck in the 2010's of trying to cash in on that Disney and Dreamworks moola. Well, half of them actually.
So, me being bored decided to watch one of them and, "WHA? IT'S ACTUALLY DECENT?!"
This is 100% Wolf.
To give further context, 100% Wolf is a children's book that was adapted into a CG animated movie this year. I did just find out that there was an animated series of sorts released last year, but I can't find any decent sources to watch the series or that it may be an exclusive series that only aired in like one country.
The premise is about a boy named Freddie Lupin, a thirteen year something who is heir to a family of aristocratic werewolves. Unfortunately for him, when the time comes for him to do the whole werewolf transformation stuff, he turned into a poodle. Some high jinks happen resulting in him trying to retrieve this magic artifact to show he's worthy, becomes friends with a character from a species he doesn't like (which is kinda weird since they're dogs and shit) which thankfully he doesn't have a relationship with in the end (because ew), evil dog catchers, a bitch that wants to turn animals into wigs, an evil uncle who wants to be the next heir and of course toilet humor, because this is a film made for kids in 2020.
The plot is obviously not original and copies from a lot of already existing movies, but at least a different variant is better than copying something and made it worse. Seriously, there are literally three villains in this movie. And yeah, to its credit it's not Norm of the North levels of I can barely watched this without skipping, pausing or giving up entirely.
The characters are not exactly great as they are the standard animated movie characters we've seen numerous times before. Then again, just like the plot, it doesn't bother all that much and we just continue watching it regardless of it's low quality (unlike some other works we should definitely not acknowledge).
The animation is fine. Not exactly something fit to be played in theaters (cough) but decent enough to be on video.
So, overall this is an alright movie. There are ideas that I think should be explored more like the werewolf vigilantes, and the crazy ice cream man who apparently has the money and technology to catch werewolves.
Again, there is an animated series made from the same studio that is sort of a sequel/spin-off about an academy of werewolves and this character who wants to hunt them or something. It's interesting stuff but unfortunately there's no way for me to find and watch it online. I'm not sure it's an early pilot of a sorts that is based on the books, so please comment down if you happen to have seen it and write down the general plot of the series.
The movie's available in kimcartoon and feel free to write your thoughts on the movie in the comments.
And this starts a series of journals/reviews of me watching a bunch of media for kids that secretly wants to turn them into furries which I may or may not continue to do so.
