What's one of your favorite images in your gallery and why? Can you tell us a bit about the thought process that went into making it?

This question really had me thinking. I must've gone through my gallery a few times looking for that one image that is my favorite. I finally settled on this one.

The reason is that I was trying to get motivated for the day. I usually try to get motivated for hours and nothing really helps me. But some artists do a warm up and that's pretty hard to do when you work in 3D. So, I got out a kitbash and my Boscoe model and just went to work. 4 hours later... I had something that I wanted to show off. Buuuuuuttttt... Lost a lot of time. It's kind of a reminder to me that I should just start on the things I have to do rather than just trying to do something for the sake of doing it.

But that was a great question! It really made me stop and think.

Alrighty, here's one for you. How did you get involved with creating art in general (writing, drawing, anything), and doing 3D modeling in specific? What was your driving force behind the picking up of doing something creative?

For me, it was that I was always making up pretty intricate stories in elementary/grade school and told them as if it was all happening/had all happened to me, and the teacher of my final year suggested that I better write them down as stories instead to circumvent the danger of anyone not believing me when I told them something that was actually true because I would usually be fantasizing so much. I took him up on that, and I'm still to this day grateful to him for it >^_^<

Wow... Way back when... I started off as a traditional artist. I drew with pencils and pens... My furries looked more like Nekos... A nose and some elf looking ears. That was way back. (Probably around 13 years old.) I also started trying to draw toons back then too. I did a couple of comic strips for the high school paper. (They were absolute crap... My composition was terrible and my lettering was ugh!!) I got my first windows computer a while after that and was given Poser 1. Poser 1 was absolute trash by today's standards, but it was exactly what I was looking for. A program with a human model in it so I could pose it and reference that pose to my drawing pad. It was perfect. Poser 2, 3 came out and I bought them both. I was in love and believed it was helping my artwork. I wanted more from the program, though. Also around the same time or before was Lightwave 3D. I got it and was tinkering. As time went on I got better at it, but the more 3D I did... The less actual drawing I did. So, it was a give and take... Or rather... I was giving up one skill for another.

Poser 4 came out and I found people were making objects and morphs for the current Zygote (not Daz... Daz didn't make Victoria... Zygote did...) figures. I scoured the internet for everything I could find... I started making morphs, objects, and things for the figures as well... But I wanted more than it could give me... I wanted fur... I wanted more depth... I wanted better rendering... So, I retreated into Lightwave 3D and modeled, rendered, and tinkered. I released a bunch of pictures, and people liked them. I stopped off at furbid put my skills out there for sale. I made a lot of pics, did trades, and had a lot of fun. During that time I also made Furs4you... Which was going to be my portfolio site, but as we both know... It turned in to so much more. XD

But I wrote about all my characters so much during elementary, middle, and high school... All of my characters feel very real to me... It's only just recently that I am finally able to show them off and let people see what I've been describing forever.

Do you still like Wolf O'Donnell?

Very much so! I need to make a new model of him actually... His old one is showing it's age and not in that good gentleman old age look...

Do you have a favourite kind of cheese? If so, what is it?

Mozzarella... But the string variety. Polly-O String cheese is my absolute favorite cheese! It's fun. You can peel it. It tastes good! I LOVE IT!!!!

Whats a species that you haven't made an OC of, but want to?

I haven't any phin OC's... (I don't count my water dragons because... They're really dragons.) I was considering making a dolphin a long time ago... Fun fact Imago was a pink bunny, a blue fox (before Star Fox adventures... I changed it super quick after people started asking if I was part of Krystal's race...), a dragon, and then the wolf-cat you see today. Imago actually started out in my head as a dolphin. :D Why? Because I love dolphins!

:0 PHINS!!! actually, speaking of phins, how much would it cost to get a character in Paws of Combat/Power if the character is already modelled and keyframed? I kinda have a crazy idea for a non bipedal fighter :0

I'm not entirely sure. XD I'd have to build the character with that in mind... And I think the going rate for having a character in was 200. But background characters were 80... At the time. I'm going to have to rethink the prices. XD At the time that was a lot... At this moment and knowing how much work goes into them... That's not enough. XD (I go to Fiverr and pick voice actresses for the gals... For the guys, I had a guy who did them... But haven't heard from him in a bit... T.T Although, it's only about 30-40 dollars to get someone to do a lot of yells and taunts... :D)

MMMM, so like, possibly 300 or 400 for a playable person? If so, I gotta think about that, BUT STILL, a fluid floor fighter to fill in the weird character quota in a fighting game? woah :0, when Kuya gets done I'll start messing around with the idea more

It would be around that. When I started I hadn't thought about the animating, or rigging. I hadn't really thought about code to make characters do blast moves and more. XD I was playing with the idea of clothing coming off, but I don't think so in this version of the game. Maybe in the next, but this one I don't think I could or would want to mess with that. Mostly, because I would have to make a bunch of transparencies that allow people to see through the clothes like they've been ripped.

But yeah, it's a wild character idea to have one kinda floating. LMAO! If nothing else... A water stage, but that would be a big underhanded for the fighters who need air. (Taking chip damage the entire time. XD)

Oooh, floating? I can see that happening with a water stage, I was more so thinking about someone who's hard to hit/half the size of a normal character with really fluid motions but a bit of a learning curve, those gahdamn gimmick characters, but I just realized ALOT of grapples wouldn't work on a character like that

Yeah, I was thinking about that last night. Like leg sweeps or low kicks. It would quickly turn in to one of those characters that people use because it has broken mechanics. Although, I still have background stage character openings. I'm going to have some characters cheering and doing other things in stages. :D So, there's a chance for her to be in, but not to be known as a broken character.

I just thought about how to remedy that: a handstand stance that mainly does heavy attacks and a normal floor stance that does weaker punching attacks and slower heavy kick attacks, heck, I need to doodle up a quick mermodel and keyframe this, btw, is PoP a 2d fighter like street fighter, or a 3d fighter like tekken? because I just assumed that it was 2d the entire time

Nope. It's a 3D fighter. All the models in it are models I've made of other people's characters. I've been working on it forever. Then college hit me hard, and then cancer, and then more college. XD But I got over and through both so I'm pleased. Yeah, the way she is... She couldn't borrow any animations from anyone so she would need all custom animations. (That would be a lot of time and money... >.< ) Not trying to discourage, but the other models can use each others walks and what not... She would need custom everything. So, that would take a while to create. Unless her story mode gave her legs somehow to be in the tourney. :D I'm still working on the story modes for the people who paid to be in its character. (Wow... My sentences sometimes... Wowza)

Oh heck man, well I'm glad you're doing good now! HMMM, that is a good point about the whole animation thing, I'll put that money toward commissioning morphs, and I'll shelve that idea for the future! :0

No problem. Animation is a pain to get looking nice. I finally got a few cameras to do a bit of MOCAP stuff, but I haven't just yet. (Just bought the stuff to do it.)

What is your favorite celestial body

The moon. It's great... Unless it's crashing into the Earth... Then... Well, that would be bad. XD

What made you think of making a furry fighting game?

I've always wanted to. Since the time I first played Street Fighter on the SNES when I was a kid. I thought... I want to make something like this only better. I started mine and have been working on it in the background. Mostly, because some things work and some things don't after a while of don't s or things being broken... I have to put it aside for a minute instead of being super frustrated about it. Although, that's all I'm working on most of the time in between models or a commission. I actually didn't realize the amount of work that would have to go in to it. Although, it gives me a great perspective for the next game... But this one... Well, I plan to have it done before Them's Fightin' Herds finishes theirs. XD (They've been working on it way longer with a team and a lot of money backing them... Yet they only just got a story mode for 1 of their 6 characters. XD)

What type of music do you listen to? Any favorite genre, or bands? Is there any type of music you dislike?

I mostly listen to the 80's and 70's music. But there's a lot of '90s in there. I mostly listen to Pop music, because I like bouncy feel-good music. Although, if it's got a good beat I like it. I'm digging a lot of Coldplay lately. :) The only type of music I don't really care for is Country. There are a few country bands and songs I like, but for the most part... I don't like it at all.
