To be honest, you wouldn't know what actual fascism is if it came along and bit you in the ass. Everybody is having oroblems around the world right now. Using anybodies death to justify violence of any kind is wrong. Violence begets more violence and only hurts everyone involved. Maybe not right away, but eventually. As for the government, police officers work under the county, not the federal government.

Tickle me surprised to see this gem of a post. Kudos to you for this, and I second the message. As my provincial capital of Vancouver has shown, safe and peaceful protest IS possible, and gets the message through just the same. People are even self quarantining after the fact. So much needs to change down south, but burning or smashing the businesses or personal property of honest working people is not on that list. A lot of horror stories coming out because of this.

Twitter is designed to push negative news so users stay on longer so its probably having a field day atm. And yeah, a lot of peoples lives will be devastated by this but i hope the communities after wards will come together and rebuild as well as those who commit the chaos be punished.

I come here to get away from politics. I notice that the stench of politics is becoming more present here too. I've already seen a few journals that said if you support him/her, unwatch this account, blah blah blah. Pretty annoying, especially since that's the kind of thing that doesn't help with divisiveness. Things are rather crazy here where I live too. Crazy curfews, riots, looters, etc. Now the national guard is getting into the act. I'm glad there are some people here that understand the situation while keeping a level head.

It seems to be one of those situations where virtue signalling is at its full strength. I've seen people who hate what is going on but still donate to the rioters regardless and others saying X group supports you or support X group. The real victims are those who are stuck in the middle. Who have nothing to do with any of this and yet are losing everything whether they be black, white, Asian, ect. thanks to senseless acts. But i guess tribalism is more important

Sad that this journal is still relevant

Just wanted to give you a thank-you for making this post; seriously, I've had to cut ties with so many of my friends and content creators on this site because of politics. I'm glad to see someone calling out the rioters for their actions; there was an incident not far from where I live recently where a couple of those guys smashed up our mall real bad, cost a lot of people their jobs and money.

It's tragic, really, because it's a fact that people on both sides were cheering for that cop to get arrested; everything fell apart when people started drawing lines on social media. It's a bit depressing when some of your long-time friends are basically sending you threats because you don't support the rioters.

Yeah. I wanted justice and a chance to better improve the police to do their job both for their own protection and the protection of their own but now its pretty much gone. Even when every one agrees, there are some saying its not good enough and that insane positions must be taken or else violence. The problem is eventually people are just going to stop dealing with you full stop and figure it out their own way.

The officer involved was convicted, there was sweeping police and social reform, there was massive news coverage 24/7 for multiple years straight, not even just in the U.S. but LITERALLY GLOBALLY. Did you seriously bring up the "Riots are the language of the unheard" without actually thinking about what was going on at the time this journal was written? In your mind, WHAT exactly did the Rioters need everyone to hear? And before you cry about the state of the black, marginalized communities, maybe take a second to think how well they fared after nearly two years of destruction? Oh wait, you can go look it up, they're absolutely destroyed and literally millions of lives were ruined.

I'm also going to knowledge check that claim of MOSTLY PEACEFUL. 99% of all protests globally are peaceful, but 93% of the BLM riots were violent. That's a 7% shift over millions of examples. You also failed to understand your own citation, because you didn't realize they considered the multiple 500+ day long riots (Yes, MULTIPLE riots went on for more then a year without a single day of peace) as a single event each, and they were also not considered violent riots if police or EVEN CIVILIANS were attacked, only if "Significant property damage" was incurred. But go ahead, you can be the living personification of the video of an entire city block on fire while the news anchor has to scream over the rioters that it's mostly peaceful.

The ultimate point of all this is you're an absolutely disgusting piece of trash, you are literally sub-human.
