Should I Start Giving Away Free/Priced Viva Pinata OCs?

I've always liked the idea of giving away or selling OCs to people, as long as they're created entirely for that purpose. I've seen artists such as tato and CodyMcDowd do it, so I thought why not give it a shot? Also, would it matter if I started charging money for the OCs? Cause I may need to do that later on in life at some point.
I mean, adoptables are also done with Pokemon characters, right?
So hopefully copyright issues shouldn't be a problem.
