Common Characteristics of Left and Right Extremists:
1. Exhibit absolute certainty they have the truth. Which, among other items, is that
2. America is controlled to a great extent by a conspiratorial group. They believe this evil group to be very powerful and in control of most nations. Thus, it is not surprising that, due mainly to fear and frustration, extremists exhibit
3. Hatred of opponents. Because these opponents (actually "enemies" in extremists' eyes) are seen as part of or sympathizers with "The Conspiracy," they deserve hatred and contempt. Due to these factors, it is not surprising that extremists have
4. Low regard for open societies and therefore little confidence in democratic processes. Since they believe "The Conspiracy" has control of the world's major nations, extremists spurn compromise and show a
5. Willingness to deny basic civil liberties to certain fellow citizens, because enemies deserve no liberties. Therefore, extremists have no qualms about resorting to
6. Consistent indulgence in irresponsible accusations and character assassination, such as calling fellow citizens Communists, Insiders, Amoral Secular Humanists, Fascists, Nazis, Racists, etc., and constantly imputing wicked motives to those who oppose them.
Differing Characteristics of Left Extremists, Right Extremists, and Non-Extremists-
Left Extremism-
1. Favor destruction of existing system and replacement with some variant of Marxism. Most believe this can come about through violent revolution.
2. Generally non-religious, but claim to love humanity.
3. Generally internationalist in outlook; some factions aligned with foreign powers.
Right Extremism-
1. Believe that the true system has been perverted and desire to return to the way they imagine it was in the past.
2. Generally religious, but often promote religious and ethnic bigotry.
3. Intensely nationalist and, though not aligned with foreign powers, look with favor on many dictatorships.
Liberal-Constervative Spectrum-
1. Accept at least gradual change within the existing system.
2. Seldom impugn motives or loyalty of opponents; instead question judgment, reasoning process, sources of information.
3. Some commitment to democratic ideals, including civil liberties for all.
This guide for extremist watchers written by John George, 1991.
Okay, everybody, which group do YOU belong to? Honestly?

4. Only wants Communism at the outset when there are resources to steal and people to hold accountable/kill. A year or two later when all the food is gone, the money is worthless, the power won't come on, the plumbing is shot, all the doctors have quit because they can't handle the avalanche of "sick" people, and winter rules the streets--that's when they claim "it's not real Communism!" and demand to be rescued by the very people they burned.
Tribal size, in other words.
4) Claim that when every Nation claims the biggest part of the pie for themselves, all will be happy.
Whilst the above is simplified, it is fun to see that the politcal right seem to have no qualms trading with whom they officially consider their enemy, or creating pacts that are doomed to fail due to the two parties contradictionary political ideologies.
This resulted in examples such as:
- German-Soviet Nonaggression Pact ( molotow-ribbentrop-pact )
- Belarus preferential oil trade with Russia
- Russia-Egypt Trade and Education agreement under Nasser
- German right spectrum party AFD openly courting Russia, in favor of leaving NATO and the EU - and happy to accept the annexion of Crimea as a given, whilst threatening maximum violence toward any such toughts for any section of Germany that might decide to stay with the EU in case of a split.
5) Right dictatorships in a bottle: Just add water - Strong-Man democracies love to support
right dictatorships. They are somewhat a favourite of large economies for small countries with a weak economy, as a right dictatorships stands for Law & Order, what makes such a state a good place to sell, buy and invest in for the bigger countries economy.
Classics are:
- 1973 Chilean coup d'état - create a military fascist dictatorship from a working democracy
- Operation PBSUCCESS - create a right military dictatorship from a working democracy
- Contra-War - not very successful try to create a right wing government by supporting suitably opinioned revolutionaries
- ...
You left out one of the generic extremist characteristics - absolutely no ability to poke fun at themselves, and their attempts to make jokes about their opponents are devoid of actual humor.
Would later on read a lot of blogs in the mid 2000s, and quickly see a bunch of soft-heads fall for propaganda in one direction or the other. I saw that hazard coming, and was disappointed watching in real time other people fail to do the same.
"... and those who study history are doomed to see others repeat it."
Sometimes its even worse: Sometimes just beign able to remember what happened 3 months ago is enough to trigger combinations of desperate laughing mixed with the urge to inverse the operational direction of the digestive functions.
Which, in combination, delivers an excellent cause for training ones wallpainting skills.
It is funny to see , for example, ancient Egypt had a legal code and equality that we today have only in a few countries one may call enlightened.
Then there were cultures that turned the amazon jungles into fertile farmland not liek today where it is turned into trashy sand that'll be worn out in 10 years, but into farming grounds that ere in continuous operation for over 500 years.
African civilizations that had water management systems that even today, damaged to over 90%, still allow farming in a desert in an area where nowadays draughts are the norm.
And the fucking lists go on and on and on!
Even the design for the Habitats in my stories stem only halfway from spacetech: The other half is derived from subeterranean settlements in ancient Persia, in the Kushite empire, in the near east and , again, from various places in Africa.
Spent so long showing people empirical evidence that X leads to Y or that Q is not Z--only to be told "that doesn't matter!"--that I'm bored with it now. Let them go bankrupt. Let them lose their futures to failing marriages. Let them die. I've done my part to steer them in the right direction and it's time to move on. Good luck to them.

Just want to line it with Concreat, stock it up with food, water, power, air...
Close the opening behind me, with a largish 'No wones in here, sekret!' sign...
Might make a note when the first of the prestocked items runs out, not leave the hole, mind, just make note that there is no more (Named item).
Not that this is in responce to current events, you see, just that I have always had an anti-social streak. Ah, Retirment plans...
Get the Dinner for 4 from the China Kitchen(Pre-planned leftovers for the single person!), a carton or two of Ben and Jerries(Cherry Garcia, or Chunky Monkey? Why, Yes), and an old Gangster or Film Noir movie.
Tried Treasure of the Sierra Madrey this year, unfortunatly for me the plot had been used in a few to many other films and stories I did not like for me to really get into it.
And the other day, I was watching 'Tales of the Gold Monkey' (Fun show, came out when I was Two), and would you not know it, suprise suprise, the conflicting views of Globalists versus Isolationists was brought up in a conversation two characters were having about the possibilities of the new war in Europe spreading out to a larger world stage...
The show was set in 1938.

On the other hand, I like Talespin.
Me, I've recently come to the conclusion that there really is a "new world order", but it's not a shadowy conspiracy. Rather future historians will say that the sun never set on the American Empire.
Getting close, actually...
Basically every country where we have military bases, every country that was invaded and hasn’t had a coup since, and every country where American citizens or corporations own land.
