500 Watchers??? + Considering trying streaming

Howdy all! I just hit exactly 500 watchers just on FA alone! Even though I don't consider numbers important, its crazy that in only a couple years 500 people have been like: "Yup. I want to know when this stranger on the Internet does something creative!"
So far I've only really had positive experiences sharing my art and talking to folks online. It's definitely a creative outlet that I don't get in real life currently and I'm very appreciative of that! It's great to be able to explore all the weird stuff I want to draw and have an audience to share it with who actually wants to see it.
Streaming is something i've always been fascinated by. After looking into it, it doesn't seem that technically difficult to do, at least if it's kept simple and basic. If you've watched me for a long time you probably remember how I would occasionally post an ad for random character request sketches. They were never very good, but still fun to do and it always brought a lot of new people looking at my art. Request streaming seems like a much better and more interactive way to do that kind of thing. Having a more interpersonal way with actual chat to interact with you guys is a big part of why i'd want to do it as well.
Right now my biggest barriers are free time and just breaking the ice and trying something new for the first time. I only have limited time on the weekend to do my personal chores, work on commissions, relax, etc. And if I do try streaming I'd want it to be at least semi-regular. Figuring out a real schedule so it's not completely spontaneous seems important. I'd probably try it out randomly for the first few just to see if I like it of course, but long term I want to be semi-organized. If/when I do try streaming, I will be using Twitch as the platform. The superiors at work have been tossing around the idea of a four day work week, which would be literally amazing. Nothing solid about that yet, but if it is something that happens, maintaining my online presence could be a lot easier!
If you guys have any feedback or input or opinions about me trying streaming feel free to comment about it.
Thanks a bunch and everyone stay safe out there 🐑

I'm glad! I never know what will be boring or interesting to people. I certainly love seeing artists work in real-time too

I use Picarto for streaming, Twitch feels like it's meant for those game streamers that rely on it for donations.

I hadn't heard of Picarto! I checked it out and it looks really awesome and much more specific to artists. I'll definitely try it out instead or maybe experiment with both!
Also, as you get more popular you might want to try using Trello. So people can keep track of where you are in your commission que.

Thats certainly something I could look into! It might be a little much for my organizational needs now, but ill keep it in the back of my mind
