Hallo!
Hey!
#BlackLivesMatter
It's true! And the US should probably abolish its police. Replace it with people who were trained to do the relevant jobs for the problems called in, y'know? Civil servants for homeless sleeping in parks to help them find a place to sleep. Mental health professionals sent to help people contemplating suicide. Crisis intervention specialists to solve domestic disputes. Jobs for all the people who were actually trained to help with them rather than just calling 'the police' who werent really trained to solve such a wide range of issues!
Anyways, just an update! Hope everyone is doing well!

the black lives matter is simply us asking to be treating human as everyone else and nothing more.
You're a special kind of chud
nobody is trying to put black live above all others. when someone says "save the rainforest" do you think theyre trying to disrespect the other kinds of forests? no ! because the other forests arent in danger. its a call to attention to the unfair treatment of blacks and other POC in this country. if youve been paying attention at all, you'd bee seeing all of the videos circulating of black people being threatened, beaten, and killed by the police. its really not that hard to look and see. also, the protesters aren't the ones burning and looting. again, if you were actually paying attention, its all people from out of state, undercover cops burning things down, white people thinking theyre doing a service, etc.. you really are not paying attention, likely willingly too. you probably wont even READ this because youve got your head SO FAR up your ass, and youre too afraid of being proven wrong.
nobodys glorifying mr obamer, nobodys glorifying floyd as some hero either. he WASNT killed for his criminal past. he was killed all because he was suspected of writing a bad check. which wasnt even a bad check in the first place! do you think if the man was white he would've been held to the ground in such a way until he died? because i highly fucking doubt it.
george floyd was the LAST life that the POC people were going to see taken by police brutality for the last fucking time. theyre fed up with it.
fuck the stupid buildings being burnt. fuck the stupid looting going on. the law had their social contract with the people and they fucking broke it, so why should we have to uphold our end of the bargain?
get off your Fox News for 5 fucking seconds and LOOK into the real world. people in ALL 50 STATES are protesting this. FOREIGN COUNTRIES are protesting this. get your head out of your racist, rock-brained ass and fucking PAY ATTENTION.
BLM.
And then let them get sent to another district if it gets to hot for them.

If you think really, really hard about it, maybe you can see the difference between Police Brutality and normal crime. I believe in you.
But elimination of the police force is throwing the baby out with the bath water. I see no hope in normal crime or police brutality being checked in any way without some sort of "police" force, whatever you want to call it.
What about letting the police take the day off and leaving the people protect themselves? I'd like to see how it goes.
So... replace it with the police? I think the police system could use reforming. Elimination of "acting on instinct," (which is another way of saying "acting on your unconscious biases), elimination on the War on Some Drugs, elimination of any sort of quota system for tickets or whatnot. I do not agree with the elimination of "police" entirely. Every single large society that has had a weak police force has had that power vacuum filled with something worse. Gangs, the Mafia, or just the environment of the good ol' Wild West.
"Civil servants for homeless sleeping in parks to help them find a place to sleep."
Will these civil servants be given police powers to force the homeless to move? Because I can say from experience, living in Homeless Mecca, an area with enormous enormous resources for the homeless who lack for no places to sleep, a large proportion of them are still not willing to accept that aid. What then?
"Mental health professionals sent to help people contemplating suicide. Crisis intervention specialists to solve domestic disputes."
And if the suicidal person has a gun? If this domestic dispute involves physical violence?
I favor having the police and pairing them with crisis counselors on calls and things of that nature.

It does mention the use of mental health professionals for engagement in cases with people with mental illness, something I've asked for for years. It was never fair either to the mentally ill or to the police to have them be front line mental help. That's not what they were for, but we don't believe in treating mental illness any other way in our country.
I'm fine with major reforms of not just the police, but our concept of policing. But we will have to have a clear picture on what that is before abolishing the police or whatnot.
