what kind of computer do you have that cost you that much to have a $2,000 repair job on it ? O-o

EVGA Nvidia 2080 Ti 11gig GPU That coast anywhere from 1400 to 1600 bucks. It died... Of all the parts that could of broke.. That one.

geeze..for a $2,000 repair job..i would use that money for a much better working computer.

It was replacing the card. The computer itself is fine, and they only charged me 150 for a Full break down of my computer... Testing Every part of it to make sure they knew what was broken. The card itself cost like I said. You can go to the EVGA website and look up a 2080Ti 11 gig memory card and see what it costs. That plus my own Miscomunication to over night the card. That's where 99% of the cost came from.

yeah but still, holy geeze, i think i would just stick with a laptop o-o.

I bought it with a settlement I got for getting hit back in 2018. I paid 3700 including shipping and taxes. I built it with the idea of using it for at least 5 years because I didn't know when I would be able to build another one. I just got incredibly unlucky with the single most expensive component in it breaking. If I have issues again, I might commission someone to build a new one with a cheaper card using what on here works, I don't know.

they only charged me 150 for a Full break down of my computerWow, $150 for just plugging the monitor into the motherboard's display connector or switching the graphics card if there isn't an integrated GPU on the motherboard in order to see if graphics card is broken. Yes, they didn't do a full break down because checking the GPU is the logical first step when the computer boots to a black screen.

Dude, drop the sarcasm. I wasn't born yesterday. They took my computer in before if you read my other Posts and replaced the C drive. However, computer was still having issues. To make sure they got the problem this time they did a step by step break down of my computer. First they ran a deep test on my memory, Then they removed and replaced the Power supply, put the old power supply back and Stress tested the Processor. From there they went over the mother board including calling the maker and asking about various settings. Finally they removed the Graphics card.. it was then they noticed the clip missing on the PCI slot. More testing and it came down to that issue.

I visited the shop each day and got to see what they were doing. Even still Their BASE diagnosis is 99 bucks. My PC was there for 4 days and worked on in one fashion or another for 6 hours a day. I got cut a DEAL because I should of been charged a lot more, the owner of the shop was not happy they didn't get it the first time, they have a reputation in Town, also BBB Certified. They are not going to rip people off and risk losing clients.
