Mid-June Updates
Hey guys!
Hope everyone is okay and safe in these tense times. Thanks to a bit of life choices including turning a spare storage space into an office and routine exercise, I've slowly been able to bounce back into a semi-stable writing mode again. Commissions are being worked through asap and I'm sorry for making everyone wait. Need to earn those pesky rent moneys. >.<
Running through June now, here's a quick run down of what's been on my mind.
COYA TWINE games
I looooove choose your own adventure games as they were one of the first kinds of books I was introduced to in grade school. Ever since recent ones like the Pirates Fate have come out I think a lot of my fellow writers have been equally inspired by what the medium can do. My friend Paulrevere has generously allowed me use of his Karen character for an experimental first try. It should make for a fun adventure with tons of TF content to discover. I hope to start the Alpha draft by the end of the month.
Currently I'm not sure which tier on the patreon to put this under. The alpha's might be released for everyone, but the more completed version could go behind the $5 tier. I'm always torn between not wanting to paywall too much, but also wanting to give back more for the support. What do you guys think would be the best course?
#werewednesday
I've been inspired by my roommate recently with them drawing something (almost) weekly for the them #tfteusday. Me? I'm thinking something more focused like lycanthropes. Not just werewolves, but just about anything; werecats, werepandas, even the dreaded werecar. They'll just be super short TF vignettes as a bit of extra content. Might leave these up in the $10 tier as everyone there will also have the option to pitch ideas and volunteer characters for each week too.
Book Work
Chapter two of Adventures in this Wide World (formally Nice to Seat You) will be starting soon. I apologies for the pause in it's updates as I wanted to put a bit more care in planning things out. Writing a romance comedy has been a nice break for my muse between all the TF shenanigans. I hope everyone else is enjoying big elephants.
Also, I'm looking to start compiling older works into anthologies for individual sales. I'm curious if anyone can recommend online shops? Amazon is...it exists, but it's good to check other options.
Patreon Taxes
A bit late to the party, sorry, but yeah. Patreon has made it known starting July that all pledges may be subject by law to a sales tax. By the sounds of things most of my content will probably not be effected, with the worst ringing about .10-.20 cents at the most.
Subscribestar
At the suggestions and warnings of friends because of Patreon's vague community guidelines I've been slowly setting up a Subscribestar to act as a mirror. This isn't going to be a migration unless the worst happens, but all posts from July onward will also be uploaded there so everyone can pick which place to get their TF fix.
And that's about it. Keep spreading the love and peace everyone. I love you all. ^.^
