Quick question about PayPal

╭━━━━━━━❓ ⁉️ ❓━━━━━━━╮
So I just tried to send someone some money for two adopts and after selecting the "family and friends" or "goods and services" option PayPal asked me for THEIR first and last name, AND their country of residence???? I've literally never have seen this before so I'm extremely confused! Why would they ask me for someone else's personal information????
Does anyone have an answer for this??

I assume it's just a shitty way to keep people from dodging PayPal fees.
They may want to consider switching to invoicing people.
I don't have much experience with paypal so sorry if this wasn't much help ^^;
