Sad Father's Day for Coyote
This is a sad video to watch, but it's a critically rare and interesting observation how a male Coyote reacts to the death of one of their puppies.

As the crew in the vehicle continue to observe, it looks like dad is trying to revive the dead pup by nipping at its neck but alas with no success. After a while he leaves to the rest of his family, but I wouldn't doubt if he came back multiple times to try again.
Not to end on a depressing note, here's some happier furry father's day videos.

Thank you for the adorable wolf and dog videos, too!
Goes to show even if he has a whole litter of pups, he still cares for each and every one. There was another case on the coyoteyips blog where a dad coyote became distraught when a 2 month old pup got too close to a person and not heeding his yip calls.
There are many more out there, they are all sooo adorable!
