Amaterasu, the main character from Okami, and the whole post is a joke based on how her anus is visible on her character model in Okami.

Ammy is the main character of a game called Okami. Ammy is short for Amaterasu, the main character of the game, who is a wolf and goddess of the sun. She is a white wolf with streaks and markings similar to fire as well as a ceremonial disk on her back which she uses as her default weapon along with a calligraphy brush serving as her "magic" weapon to create special effects, ranged attacks, etc.

Nintendo takes artistic liberties to ensure they don't have that kind of situation on hand, or to better fit Smash.
Take Snake for example. No, not his rear end, but his face. It's a blend between Naked Snake's facial features and Solid Snake's facial features. They'll change what they need to or want to in to have a character fit and/or avoid any unwanted attention.

As I just commented to somebody else above though, it would result in a different kind of unwanted attention. Also, I know nothing of what you speak regarding Snake. Only Metal Gear I've ever played was the original on NES.

To specify, there's two different "protagonist" Snake characters. Both have different facial features. Despite the Snake included in Smash wearing Solid Snake's iconic clothing, there are a lot of small additions and tweaks in reference to the alternate Naked Snake, his predecessor, including some elements of his facial features. In short, Smash Snake's outfit resembles one Snake while the face resembles both, he's a combination of both Snake's.
