Hey y’all!
It’s been quite a few months for my family so I wanted to give a proper update along with my commission posting. Sorry if it’s lengthy!
Back in April, as was happening to a lot of people, I was let go of my job of 8 years. I had already been run dry by it and felt like my time there was ready to come to a close.
I really wanted to focus on art. I REALLY wanted to. After some discussion, I’ve made the decision to not return to that job and pick up freelance work. 💕 Its truly something I love and I’m beyond grateful that this is even an option for me to live by and I’ve felt a lot of peace with the decision.
And then June we were hit with difficult news. My partner of 9 years was diagnosed with cancer. It was a rough few weeks of doctors and tests and tears. Thankfully, he has already started chemo and has a huge chance of not just remission, but a full recovery. My dad passed away from cancer a bit over two years ago so doing this all again, so soon, has been so tiring. But he’s been so strong, y’all. I’m so glad it’s not like before.
This makes me even more grateful for my chance to do freelance. My wife is already back at work (which is so nerve wracking what with COVID still a huge issue and having someone severely immunocompromised at home) but I’m able to stay home, keep up with my partner’s appointments, and keep him comfortable while doing freelance. I’m so grateful for this opportunity, even more so now with the circumstances.
This month, I’ve implemented a price bump to my work. I usually do this in Feb/March, but with COVID and my previous work’s demand it didn’t feel right. So, it’s happening starting for July!
I’m also opening for 4 telegram sticker spots, my normal monthly amount.
But I’m doing just 10 general spots and then around the 16th I plan to open for 10 more! Gonna try bi-weekly openings again, which I haven’t been able to do for years.
I’m also looking into doing some fundraising/iron artist spots for my partner’s medical expenses. That will be announced here/thru Twitter (@ LaLarke) ONLY.
Thank you all, as always, for the incredible support. I’m still blown away by the love my work receives and that I can keep doing this and support my family. It means the world to me. It’s incredibly fulfilling. Thank you so much. 💕

Additional Costs for ref sheets are:
- Side View (+$30)
- Feral Form (+$20)
- Full Outfit refs (+$25 for first, +10 for any after- chibi base is used to add multiple outfits!) (things like scarves/hats/accessories are not full outfits, see 'Items')
- Additional headshots/expressions (+$20 per)
- Items (ex: including a drawing of a doll/scarf/etc) (+$5 per)
I WILL NOT DO:
- Genitals on refs. (No characters will have nipples unless requested)
- Anything NSFW in general
