Why so?

Long story short, rampant confirmation bias about a lot of issues, lack of nuance in discussion, cancel culture, lack of context when posting short videos, and "influential" people using it to sway people on issues who demonstrate on the aforementioned issues. It is literally high school on crack.

Well, I'm hearing many people deciding to quite twitter. It looks like this app was killed by it's own algorithms based on the number of comments, in any other way I can't explain why only scandals are getting popular... Thank you for the answer anyway. I should think about deleting my account

It is mostly the recent protest stuff that has kind of shown the cracks in Twitter and how people act on it. There is no nuance, just vengeful emotions all around. But it is a terrible gallery site on top of that, like you can't easily go through an artists profile and find just the art, you have to scroll through a lot of shit posting as well in some cases. and then you have others who go off on super long posts which is not what the platform was made for, so it makes it hard to follow unless you find the first post for it. Like people are trying to use it for way more than it was designed for.

You're right, I really hope that Pillowfort (it's a new social media) will get popular. I think that it's the platform we need. With art, nsfw stuff and blacklisting -_-

FA works fine despite needing a few things like a blacklist, but it's primary purpose is to be a gallery, so like Twitter is okay for WIP stuff, but like not to be used as your Gallery, but, it is quick and easy to post to, no need for tags or drop downs, just post and go! Which is quick and not effective. And it has a better way of spreading your stuff because when people retweet something it shows up in their feed like it would in yours, but links back to your page, where with gallery sites you have to make the active effort of going into someone's faves. Like there really need to be a way of blending the, but that is hard to do.

Mostly though, I really hate the high school on steroids aspect to it, like if it stopped the confirmation bias and allowed for people to communicate effectively, it'd be less of an issue, which is something YT has excelled at, cause it is more self aware. I would recommend Vertasium's video on Anti-social media.
