Looks like they ditched that crappy loot system they implemented outta nowhere in SW2, I approve!

I highly enjoyed the first Shadow Warrior game. It somehow balanced the seriousness and comedy perfectly for me and i greatly enjoyed Hoji and Lo Wang buddy journey. It flew nicely and it was one of those games where i stopped admiring the beautiful enviroments in-between combat. The story was nice too~!

Shadow Warrior 2 however was a huge letdown. The story sucked balls. I couldn't give a crap what was going on. The worst was the gameplay though. I hated that it tried to be like Borderlands(one of the most overrated shooters ever imo)making it overlong and boring with the loot and spending time on the damn menus. Those goddamn gems. Those samey procedurally generated levels.. I was pleased that they implemented co-op, but it was near impossible to get it to work proper on GOG version. The ending was also abrupt and left a sour taste in my mouth. If the game improved in some areas, it was the graphics. Aside from those i felt it was a downgrade on every other part compared to the 2013 Shadow Warrior.

I really hope they get rid of the lootershooter aspect altogether and make it a more focused satisfying shooter.
