Maybe this is a phase the Earth goes through; vote in some ridiculous far right loons, realise what a horrible mistake it is when some disaster comes along and then vote differently....and then repeat it several years later

I'm sorry, but what are you talking about? My country hasn't had a left leaning government since the 90s. The current president and government are merely getting a reelection. They are some of the more right wing parties, but not the most to the right.

They were elected in huge part, because of how much money they were giving away to reward couples for bearing children, which has a lot of left leaning logic behind it.

Are you using your views on the politics in your country, Europe and/or America to draw conclusions on what is happening in my dumb hillbilly country of Poland?

I am sorry for how I sounded. I get so tired of politics.

Up till a few years ago I was staying out of it, just saying that "I guess I'm more of a leftist". Now a few years passed and I feel disillusioned. There's been situations where the right represented more of what I believe in, while the left was strongly opposed to it. I cannot see things as black and white where one side is good and the other is bad.

Despite me becoming more of a centrist who can't really take sides, it feels like the whole world became so divided and tribalistic. Everyday, at home, at work, in the TV, on the internet, I'm surrounded by people screaming in frustration over how everyone is stupid for making different political choices than them.

It feels so tiring... I just keep shrugging and apologizing for being an idiot to everyone. It doesn't matter who I vote for. I am a true idiot, not one shaped by their political beliefs.

Its ok. As someone in a family who explodes about politics all the time I understand how it can get tiresome and grating.

I say everyone should just invent the computer White Noise and implant chips into everyone to repress violent emotions :p

We Germans are already have done this. Was a big mistake.. still over 10% voted AFD last time.

The whole Brexit nonsense we've landed ourselves into was all thanks to a prime minister getting scared over some crazy no-chance parties, so he decided to let the people vote on the matter, confident that we'd stay in the EU. Its like he gave the darkside of our country a mouthpiece.
