──────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────────────So .. I've been in this site for about two months already? And I have never felt more comfy sharing my art than here, I never got used to DA for example.
And I really wanna make new friends ! So please if you are reading this and wanna chat just note me anyday pretending you are my best friend already ♡ or add me to discord :3
Honestly I was just thinking the same thing. Like, I was on DA for a while over several accounts and the comfiest I felt on DA is when I was doing shit with people from DA.... off DA. Like, we all just happened to have met on and have work related to what we were doing on DA. But I never really felt like, wow I feel comfy putting my work here.
Here? Just throw whatever up there.
I think it's mostly because (for whatever reason) people were a lot..... meaner? on DA? At least in my case they were. Can't even remember how many people dogpiled my initial DA to tell me that I wrote poetry wrong and that I should "wait until I was more mature" before "attempting" it. pfffffff.
And, I dont know much about poetry but I don't think there's a correct way to do it, because art is meant to be subjective :/
I do however enjoy some works of anti poetry sometimes :0 !

Like, something about it just makes me think about all the people who are just out there waiting to cancel someone just because. I don't think I do much that I could really be canceled over, but who knows. I've already had someone run off with several working concepts for comics/webtoons and I'm not trying to have that happen again.
I mean, I'd like to think I have a working understanding of how poetry can work, and the whole point is that poetry is literally what you make it. It's a creative expression that you can use however you'd like it. If you are specifically following a certain style then, yeah, there are rules. But otherwise? Just write the words how they flow out.
As for anti-poetry.... I think it'd be fun to pull a whole-ass Natsuki sometime soon.
............. okay maybe not a whole ass Natsuki. Just in a writing sense. oh man. That reminds me that Doki Doki still won't come off my Steam.
