Check out other Weston Price Foundation stuff on google. It's quite compelling.

On other words... Yeah, it's flawed.
I suppose your right though, I should work logically when it comes to studies and not rely on reactionism.
I'd dare say, though, that out of all the topics you listed, the one you're least interested in has the most impact on your life. The old saying "If you don't have your health, you don't have anything" is so true.
I became interested in nutrition when my grandparents started passing away. Of the 4 I had, only 1 is left, and she's not well. I said to myself "Well, this is the genetic hand I've been dealt. The only way to increase my odds of a healthy life when I get older is to start now." I tried several diet ideas before I found Weston Price. It's the only diet that just made sense to me. Everything about it seems so logical. Eat food as close to the way nature provides it.
Also, this isn't the most appropriate venue to talk of this, so if you'd care to continue, contact me otherwise please.
So I get a receding gum line, crooked teeth, and cavities, despite spending the first 20 years of my life brushing and flossing daily. :/
As for being depressed, I'm not sure why this video would depress anyone. I would think it'd give you hope. There's hope for overcoming your illnesses... WITHOUT doctors.
As I said down below, I've been following WAPF advice for nearly 10 years. I've found that I'm generally happier. I don't fly off the handle like I used to. Bad news is easier to deal with.
I also participate in message boards that discuss nutrition based on WAPF advice, and have talked to dozens of people who have gotten rid of depression completely through diet. Once you fully understand the links between diet and depression, it gives you power over it. Then once you start making the dietary changes, it gets rid of it.
Very empowering.
Just because something is common doesn't mean it's normal. Heck acne didn't exist in japan until the 1970's but we're supposed to accept that it's a normal part of growing up :P
I'm seeing a lot of glib statements. Don't give up mifmaf. The truth is a powerful thing.
What next...a "study" saying all males should be a size 20 waist?
A "report" suggesting blue eyed blonds are Better then others ?
A "paper" telling us that whites are genetically better then blacks ?
Just examples of where the obsessions with Perfection have brought about Oppression and Harm
My point is , this study seems to promote the idea that people that lack the Genetically pre programmed facial structure and teeth are of lesser value , and maybe even harmful to the gene pool.
You really should look into this more if you're getting such a distorted view of what it's about. Maybe my video selection was poor.
Oh as for the milk is better statement....ever hear of lactose intolerance?
Yes i agree that overly processed food is bad for us as a people , but on the other hand I eat it cause due to things I am trying to change...its all i can afford. And You have to remember that most kids are going to tell Mommy and Daddy what they will and will not eat.
The problem is actually with pasteurized dairy, which is structurally different than raw dairy. Protein structure changes when heated in the presence of sugar molecules. Nutrient makeup changes. Enzymes are lost. Beneficial bacteria are killed.
Then there's homogenization. The process breaks open fat globules and cholesterol, which exposes the molecules to the air, setting up rapid oxidation, thought to be a cause of atherosclerosis from free radical damage.
Let's also not forget that raw milk from properly feds animals (meaning green grass for cows, NOT grains) is safer for consumption. The Organic Pastures dairy in California regularly tests their milk for vitality. What they find is that not only is it containment free. but when pathogens are purposefully introduced into the milk, the milk kills the pathogens. Listeria, e-coli 0157 and other pathogens are regular subjected to their milk, and the milk regularly kills the pathogen within 24 hours. The same can not be said for pasteurized milk or even raw milk from improperly fed cows.
I would enjoy discussing the topic more if you'd like to.
I'm trying to do what I can now, though. Yes, raw milk is hard to find; harder in some states than others, but Congressman Ron Paul is trying to change that. He believes if people want raw milk, it's not the government's place to say they can't have it. The cost of raw milk in my area is about the same as buying organic pasteurized milk from the store. in some places in the country (like Cali) it's up to $12 a gallon. I understand that's cost prohibitive.
What most don't consider, though, is that much of the savings on food is simply an expense shift from food to health care. Sure they're saving money on food, but they're spending more at the doctor's office. Since I've been following WAPF, I've been to the doctor twice... once from severe food poisoning after eating out. Eating a healthy diet is like the best health insurance money can buy. Not only do you not get sick, but a lot of those other pesky things like depression go away, too.
It's a complete life-style change. No one understands how hard that is more than me... but it's a change I've never regretted.
Really though, I didn't know about this, and that's cool.

With a little digging, you soon begin to realize that modern medical science is as corrupt as any government entity you can imagine. Here in the USA, medicine has successfully made it a crime to claim that a food can prevent or cure a disease. Doctors can have their licenses revoked. Businesses can be fined and/or shut down. Since healthy food is the #1 competition to medicine and surgery, the medical establishment knew they had to get rid of it. Studies saying saturated fat is disease causing are all flawed beyond belief. Studies touting the benefits of many popular drugs (like Lipitor) are also skewed to represent the drugs as being far more beneficial than they really are.
Jeez, I really need to get off my soap box. Sorry for the rant. :)

Good luck in your search.
I don't think the idea is that we're all supposed to be exactly the same, but rather we've come to think of things as normal that just are NOT normal. Crooked teeth, for example. If you read Dr. Weston Price's book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, you'll see tooth comparisons of groups of people who eat a traditional, nutrient dense diet and those who eat a more modern diet. The difference in the straightness of the teeth and lack of tooth decay in the traditional diet group is remarkable.
You'll also notice in the traditional food group a lack of modern disease such as cancer, heart disease, (despite eating HUGE quantities of saturated fat.... well, actually it's BECAUSE of said fat) arthritis, stroke and many others.
I've seen great changes in my own health and the health of those around me by following the WAPF recommendations. The great thing is, once you study it, nutrition just makes sense. No more memorizing what you can and can't eat. What's good for you and what's not. You instinctively just KNOW what to eat.
Sure it takes a bit more prep time in the kitchen, but once you make the adjustment, it's really not bad at all. I make my own flour, render my own lard, (from free range pork) and make most of our meals from scratch. When the food hits your tongue, it's all worth it. Everything we eat is full of REAL flavor, not processed, sugar coated, nutrient devoid junk taste.
Keep spreading the word.
now excuse I think I chipped one of my teeth
Also, not many people have perfect teeth because not many people eat a perfect diet. If you read the book in topic, I think you'd find yourself believing that there'd be a lot fewer dental problems in the world if we didn't have refined, nutrient devoid food to deal with. That doesn't even begin to touch on the countless degenerative diseases that go along with those foods.
And there is no "perfection" there is ideal and healthy. If you want to try for the look of some stupid mag, then have a miserable time doing so. I won't. I'll try and work on a healthy weight (and i'm 6'1" 170lbs)
The idea is that if we eat what we're meant to eat, our bodies will find their naturally ideal weight all by themselves, whether that's by gaining or losing weight.
Besides, she stated that "less than 1%" of the population of that village had actual tooth issues, that's still considering not everyone has healthy teeth, even though it's a very large proportion.
Don't give up MifMaf, someday people shall see the light! Meanwhile, I'm still glad I found you, it makes me regain some faith in humanity =P
Both my mother and father have pretty awful teeth, but mine are quite good, save for my canines being out of alignment.
The ideal behind the Weston Price Foundation naturally lend themselves to proper capitalism. People learn what they should be eating and give their money to providers of properly grown whole foods. We also give our money to book authors and lecturers, but we don't HAVE to. I liken the culture to that of true computer geeks. Most computer geek would gladly give of their time to help others. They also love to share knowledge. The WAPF crowd is a lot like that.
It's the same as what the FDA did when they started mandating labeling of trans fats. The public outcry for the labeling had been growing for over 10 years. Rather than do the right thing, the FDA simply catered to big business and said "OK, as long as your product contains less than .5 grams of trans fats "per serving" you can label it "0 grams trans fats." For the hand full of products that didn't meet that already, the manufacturers just adjusted their serving size. Not many real food changes occurred.
