hmmm that's bad. maybe one more try to write them? especially the second one. the first one... try to contact some friends of the first artist? ask them if they know anything?

I've had that happen to me, lost out on 2, 50 dollar pieces from ayame when she suddenly dissapeared

I've been stiffed by 2 artists before, one I actually managed to finally collect my art from by a constant barrage of comments on everything they did or posted until they finally got pissed and did a half-assed pic. The time for worrying about being nice or hurting feelings is over. They've already stolen your money and refused to uphold their end of the verbal contract (BTW, always, ALWAYS make a "contract form" to take to cons 7 make the artist sign them when you've written out a full description & "payment made of $xx"). All you can lose at this point by pestering them non-stop is the respect of a thief who already doesn't respect you by taking your money.

Just my $0.02. I despise artists who steal money from those who really did like their art.

I had a certain female artist who took my $8 and never sent a print. She's a rather popular one, so I guess her being so busy and so talented or whatever made my small-time purchase unimportant. Good luck on with yours.

the first artist i'd go back in to yer pm's and see if the msg's were read and send her one last one with the subject "last request for commission update from AC" and tell them if they dont want to give you the commission that you payed for you will contact paypal and get the money back from there. even though you prolly didnt pay them with paypal it may rattle them into giving you an update or your money back if they cant get to it

the second one i'd send a not with the subject "commission update" and kindly ask them about the commission. may also want to put in that you understand that they may be very busy and may have accadently forgot about the commission and that its ok as long as you get the comission.

this is what i suggest and have used in the past and gotten good results. hope things work out for ya :)

I am still waiting on a commission from AC and some from /before/ AC, and some from after AC.

The AC artist showed me the WIP and said it was completed right after AC, but I havn't heard from him in the ways of shipping or scans... and am Kinda afraid to contact him cause I dont want to come off as annoying c.c;

One artist I know, and I trust her. He WIP list is just all over the place @_@. But she is <3, I have commissioned her before, and I know it will be win. (6 months)

One artist had kept me up to day and explained she wasnt happy with how the work was coming out so she started over. (3 months)

One artists has been making progress in her queue but the poor girl got sick and injured, so I understand why it is taking longer. (almost 6 months)

One artist has it marked as finished in their progress list, so Im like. o.o


SO yeah...

This can happen... however, I severely doubt it is maliciously.
