For as hard as I laughed I kind of feel really sorry for the kid now... I mean honestly that came out far better than my first attempt at a portrait :C and now all he's getting is mocked for it

Um, okay. Like obviously you're not trying to make the artist feel bad, but laughing at their hard work in a comment is pretty hypocritical. And then linking it here and shit just for the lulz. All this is is bringing unnecessary attention to this artist's attempt at drawing portraits, and now everyone else seems to be following in your footsteps. Eyeroll.

Well I wasn't doing it to be mean. I even complimented the artist's work, and faved it. Like I said, it's a great piece, really, but whatever other people on the site say or think about this piece is their own business, I'm not making them say anything one way or another. I like it, I think it's great, and it made me smile. There's no harm in that, and I think that the artist knows that, at least coming from me. :P

I didn't say you were making anyone say anything. But once one person sets the example, people follow. Especially when you link to it in a journal. You might enjoy the piece, and fav it or whatever, but it comes off as doing it out of mockery. The artist seemed offended, so no, I don't really think they knew where you were coming from, or that your intentions were harmless.

:T Again, what other people do isn't my problem, and I told the artist I liked the picture and I complimented it. I don't know what you are trying to accomplish by complaining about my posting a journal about a picture I really liked.

Lol, not really sure, either, BUT. All I'm saying is, you say you're not doing this journal to be mean when everything else suggests that you are. That maybe posting a journal is, contrary to what you might think, mean, and promoting mean comments to the artist.
