Saw comet Neowise.

Very faint. Hard to see, even with binoculars. Had to see it from my peripheral vision, otherwise it disappears when I look directly at it.
Nearly got hit in the face with a stupid bat. Lowered the binoculars at the same moment a bat was flying right at my face. It turned a foot away from me as it was flying at the last second. Scared the shit out of me.
Talked with the neighbor, and she said she'd come out to watch the comet with me tonight. I called her and let her know it was out there, but she flaked out. Decided it was too much trouble to walk up the driveway to see it, and gave up. Fine. Not like I wanted to spend the moment stargazing with anyone again anyways. I took one last look, and went back inside early. Could hardly see the fuzzy snowball anyways.
Once in a lifetime event. Just like the rest of 2020, it sucked.

I'm glad you had the chance to see it, at least. Maybe wasn't the most impressive of sights, but still kinda cool. To me, at least.
